“Stupid people believe in the idea of losing weight by restricting calories.”
LOL!!
Sure buddy. Please, tell us what the “Experts” recommend? I guarantee if we saw their photograph, you can tell they buy their clothes at Seattle Tent & Awning.
The trick is figuring out why you could no longer do that, some people manage to live their entire lives with exactly that philosophy, ever wonder why?
There is surely a reason but because we believe we already have the cure for obesity. we look no further. Just eat less is the mantra, a treatment not a cure. Before WW II people lived largely on carbohydrates which were loaded with carbs and calories yet remained relatively normal or below weight. When I joined the Army I weighed 107 lbs and ate enough to feed three people I weighed 124 three years later. I had had intermittent tonsillitis most of my life and had them removed the I was 21 my weight slowly increased after that. I am now 83 and have had the same weight for 30 years which is slightly overweight but I control it with carb control not calorie control and anyone on keto or carnivore can attest to that. I have to control carbs because of blood sugar a progressive disease that starts 20 or 30 years before you get to the point you can't control your blood sugar without a diet change.
The sad thing is drug companies make a fortune of insulin and other drugs they prescribe to control blood sugar. They will never look for any other cause for weight gain as long as they make more money by encouraging you to become diabetic.
End of rant.

Iron and vitamin a accumulate in the liver and that causes many problems.
Not at all it is a fact Hitler proved that 80 years ago. There is a minimum you must that is just a fact. People that never have to diet seem to think it is easy, only a lack of willpower prevents you from loosing weight. Not unlike the 6 foot man looking at a 5 foot man and telling him if only he had more will power he could be tall as well. That is as ridiculous as the short man telling the tall man if he had more will power or slept standing up he too could be short.
End of rant.
My friend reversed her type 2 in six months going low carb. Lost about 25 pounds in the process.
We don't notice such issues, for a long time, but they become more apparent when we are hungry, even famished, again in just a couple hours. We really should not feel appreciably hungry after three hours if we weren't working off the carb calories. Interestingly, the more appropriate approach is seen when people are eating low carb and they have to force themselves to eat. That also happens when you are young or very active and don't yet have a health problem. We really should feel like we aren't always hungry, if we are healthy inside.
For me, I don’t feel satisfied without carbs, which I know is not healthy. But I can eat a LOT of carb-less food which technically is enough, but don’t feel right without a bite or two of pasta, potato, rice, etc. The high-sugar carbs I can take of leave. A choice between potato chips or pie ... it’s potato chips every time.
Will check out the hilo chips. Thanks!!
We need the fibers, anyway, and they help shift the intestinal biome away from the bad colonies that thrive under bad foods to good ones that thrive under good foods.
For later
The body stores sugar in the brain, liver, and muscles. It’s good for a a healthy person to consume sugar until she feels satiated.
In that case, that cookie on the counter is calling my name.

I will expand a bit. The blood always contains sugar. If it goes down, the body converts protein to sugar.
Blood sugar wil be more stable if our body has stored sugar. When we sleep, we will sleep better if blood sugar is stable. A reduction in blood sugar increases cortisol and adrenalin.
A stable calcium level is also good for sleep. The government forces milk sellers to add vitamin a to skim milk. Foods have more vitamin a than we need, so they converted a healthy food to a harmful food.
“A stable calcium level is also good for sleep.”
I take quite a bit of calcium citrate for osteoporosis. One of the pills I take is before bedtime, and I sleep pretty well.
It could be the calcium ... or my MyPillow ... or the Gaviscon (also calcium).
I don't have anything to add to this discussion that will help either of us. My experience is mine alone as is yours. When I was born in 1938 my father was working sunup til sundown chopping railroad ties and earned a whopping 50 cents a day. WW II healed that problem for a few years but when the war went away so did the huge salary(for us) went with it.
I want to see impotent men told that they need to just abstain from sex....
Now, Cherry, I don’t want to be the first to tell such an innocent lady, but impotent men can’t engage in sex.
