You are right that Aussie’s think that it is wonderful that they have FREE health care, but you should have heard my DIL complain at the government taking 1/2 of the profits of selling her 2 apartments in Melbourne.
Nothing FREE about their heath care as they pay for it in the high taxes they pay.

The number of job openings in the U.S. hit a record high for a fifth straight month in July as employers continued to have difficulty finding workers.
The total number of job openings rose by 749,000 to a seasonally adjusted 10.934 million at the end of July, according to the Labor Department’s Job Opening and Labor Turnover Survey, or JOLTS. The number of job openings in June was revised higher by 112,000 to 10.185 million.
Economists surveyed by Refinitiv were expecting 10 million available jobs.

I have a daughter in law that is an RN managing a large upscale assisted living facility. Staff and patients all received pfizer vax X2 in March. About 135 people.They check everyone once a week for covid. About 5% have had covid plus symptoms since. Not sure what will happen come November. The problem is staffing, every time someone tests positive they are off for 2 weeks, so that would be the same with the hospitals. I heard last night that an ICU unit in Seattle nurses had 6 patients. So if they were critically ill that would be impossible and dangerous from my personal experience. So come November with the fall winter flu season this could be real bad situation. Perhaps that is what they want.
Thinking about their homemade cinnamon buns is making my mouth water.
Yes,they were great . I loved their chicken and dumplings also.
