Perhaps. But to me shot in the back, being chased for robbery or murder, who knows.
He would not have been the only one that knew that area.
Heck, could have been killed by his “friends.”
We will never know.
Next debate, how many Angels can dance on the head of a pin.

😉

Any word on whether Ötzi was vaccinated, or was he a Flubro?

We know more about the comings and going’s of Ötzi Then we do about where Obama came from

Analyzing the "pollen" in Obama's rectum would be a severe HIPAA violation.

Thanks rdl6989. Good weekly digest ping topic as well. There are loads of topics I never got posted from this week, and I'm in a rush, so I'll do the big roundup listing in the coming week. Or so. ;^)

Hi.

For a number of reasons, methinks Ötzi was fleeing a posse.

Imagine all the mountain climbers to discover in the centuries ahead that fell into crevices. The researchers then will just have to look at the cell phones and maps to figure out how they got there.

We visited the museum and paid our respects. Nicely done museum in a beautiful corner of Italy. “Come for the Iceman, stay for the speck!”

I am convinced he was a hated bad guy...they didn’t even rob him after killing him.

The museum tried to paint him as just a schlub or maybe a village leader.

Exactly! My thoughts exactly. His axe was a very valuable item in those days. Anyone would’ve taken it, bandit or posse. Why didn’t they? We can speculate all day and all night over that one and many of the scenarios that arise from such speculation are intriguing.

Since they seem to have a pretty good idea what route he followed in the days leading up to his death, I think it could be enlightening to mount ground penetrating radar on drones to fly over the area. Who knows? You might dig up an ancient Neolithic battlefield full of Otzis in a similar state of preservation as the original.
