Get the full medical workup. But also understand modern medical doctors are awesome if you are dying quickly. SOmething obvious which will kill you fast is their forte. And you need to rule that out.

But in my experience, modern doctors tend to not do so well in cases where someone’s vitality is spiraling, and they are miserable, but they are not dying fast.

In such a case, you might be well served to look up a doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. TCM is a 6000 year old art, developed by people with powers of observation that are unrivaled in the world, and it can work real miracles in those slow-death situations.

It has identified five separate systems in the body, and several different ways each system gets out of balance, and how to figure out which system is amiss through general observation of differences in pulse, differences in blood-flow patterns under the skin and on the tongue, strangely. And after a decade of seeing hundreds of patients, they can often identify imbalances just from seeing a person move, as the imbalances all have specific neurological effects that change how you move.

I was pretty sick once, and modern doctors were of no use. A family friend recommended one of those doctors, and I went to him, and in two months, I felt healthier than I ever had in my life. It blew my mind, and sold me on it. I still go to such doctors, if I feel myself getting out of balance.

There are two disciplines in it - acupuncture, and herbal treatments. Both are equally powerful, from what I see, and you are best served with a doctor who does both as they complement each other, and sometimes one is much better than the other. Some just do acupuncture, and occasionally sell Chinese pills to supplement it - that is not the same, but good if you have little else. You can tell an herbalist because his office will have a pungent smell from all the shelves of raw whole herbs he will have stored, and the medicine he will give you will look like a big pile of different barks, twigs, leaves, and dried flowers in a brown paper lunch bag, which you will brew like a tea. Don’t let the primitiveness fool you - it is powerful stuff, and well applied it will fix almost anything short of cancers and major diseases as well as modern medicine or better.

Look up TCM doctors in your area. Look for one who does herbs and acupuncture. I’ve found the best are Chinese trained, with time spent there practicing, and they should have at last 15 years experience, with 20-25 the best. Look at the online reviews too. It is usually fairly reasonable if you find it in a Chinese area.

As I said, it made a huge difference for me, and might for you too. You’ll know after five or six visits, and probably after one or two.

My mistake

Someone with good health ins was telling me they had to pay around $100 for a single blood test. I looked online and there are websites that offer much lower priced testing from Labcorps and Quest. You select the test(s) you want, pay and get lab order and take it to you local blood draw center and get the results direct to you in a few days. This sounds very interesting to me!
