Joe Pags has too little time for news and comment and too much time in repartee with his on air foil. He is not a serious contender. Shows that feature two hosts, even where one is very subsidiary always wind up talking way too much inside baseball. T a lesser extent the same goes for Schnitt.

I agree. He said that the EIB team installed his radio hookup so he could do the Rush show from “Ice Station EIB,” and he did Tucker last night with a green screen, so I guess now it’s just a question of if he wants to do a daily 3 hour commitment. But I’ll bet Steyn and Todd Herman can split the time easily. I enjoy listening to both of them. Rush did a magnificent job of transitioning.
Bongino is, sadly, NOT healthy. The latest bad news is nodes in his lungs....

I’d like to see Steyn do a set three days a week, with Ken Matthews and Todd Herman each doing one day a week.
Good plan. Not a fan of Herman myself. Of course, these guys would just be fulfilling Rush’s contract with Clear Channel, they won’t be renewing that slot.
The problem is you have to listen to all the local commercials and local news. Terrible format for a podcast.

Nobody even comes close and I’m heartbroken to lose such a great friend who accompanied and comforted me throughout each and every day.
I have not heard a single guest host that has been able to hold a candle to the master. Steyn’s schtick grows old quickly and every other host tries way too hard to be cute and come up with their own catchphrases.
Walter Williams was my favorite fill in host and unfortunately he has been taken from this Earth as well.. Also robbing us of a brilliant conservative mind and communicator.
Since Sean Hannitus Interruptus has taken to repeating the exact same talking points every single day ad nauseum the only host who entertains and educates is THE GREAT ONE...Mark Levine. ML is one of the brightest legal minds I have ever listened to and it is my most fervent hope that he will be the one to take Rush Limbaugh’s time slot over.
I believe Rush would approve of this. May he rest in peace.
They will be doing the current format for at least 90 days. Lot’s of retrospective of 33 years of broadcast excellence.
Personally, I hope they shut down EIB. Rush cannot be replaced. He probably cannot even be succeeded.
In my opinion, he didn’t just blaze the trail, he paved the highway for all kinds of excellent conservative talkers. To have some board of directors pick one of them to be the successor is unfair-to us.
By shutting down. the entire spectrum of talk will become wide open. Talkers will get moved around, some will get small and others large syndication deals. Some will disappear and the best will rise to the top. Maybe someday another behemoth will arise but it has to happen organically. He needs to be us and we need to be him. Just like Rush became.
We need the next generation to take up the mantle.

Levin shows some outrage on his shows, which is what we need instead of just mockery of left wing ideas.
