Horrible...legacy of the great society and government programs enabling poor decisions in poor families...RIPApparently she got pregnant with her oldest child when she was 15 or barely 16, since she was 30 and the eldest is 14.
Wait... I went back and read it and it said that the 33-year-old woman was 30. Pulitzer-worthy reportage there.

Agree. I’d cross the street, too, and wondered what Mom was thinking. When I posted, she was barely cold, so it did not seem right to me to criticize her at that moment. Now I hope the tragic story will serve as a warning to other mothers to stay away from such boyfriends. Again, so sad. The picture of that little boy is a real heart breaker.
