Not quite the same thing. I didn’t vote for him to be PRESIDENT - unlike almost every one of the Freepers who flamed me. Almost to a person, they wanted McCain - and then Romney - to be COMMANDER IN CHIEF.!!??!!! And then they have the chutzpah to claim I’m not a conservative.
And I am not interested in your personal battles with other FReepers about their disagreements with your ideology. You can believe whatever you want to believe.
But you didn't seem to wait any longer after the DC rally than the scumbag democRATS did to flame Trump and turn on him. And then you kept repeating how you were right and the president was wrong. Unflattering and distasteful at best.
My critique is that you have an inflated view of your own self-importance. Voice your opinions and leave it at that. Bragging that you were right and the president was wrong doesn't endear you to anybody.
I am sad and I am very mad. What you say is true the rally was nothing but a trap and Trump should have known that would happen especially after 4 years of investigations and the only ones that go to jail were republicans. Even that dumbass Barr and Durham could only manage one scalp, another republican.
What was the purpose of calling for that rally in D.C. and the subsequent march to Congress?

So many times over the last 4 years Trump had many opportunities and all he did was threaten to do something but never followed through. Why didn’t he fire Sessions immediately and tell McConnell that he was in charge. Why did he hire McConnell’s china doll. Why didn’t he fire Wray. There are so many other questions but it is over now, no fight, no justice and above all NO RULE OF LAW!
If there is ever another person brave enough to take on the DC swamp they had better learn this lesson thoroughly, A leader does not win an enemy town/country and then hire those same enemy soldiers to help him govern that camp and be loyal, a leader must bring his own team of loyal soldiers to help him govern. McConnell and company should have been neutered the first month.
BTW, Mr. Pence, you were supposed to count “Lawful votes” not votes that were illegally attained.
Nixon, on the other hand, was not personable at all. He was uncomfortable around people and acted robotic and unnatural when engaging with others. How history judged him may have a lot to do with that.

I didn’t “turn on Trump”. I continued to say the SAME THING I’d said for a month and a half - this RALLY IS A STUPID IDEA THAT COULD PUT THE MAGA MOVEMENT IN GRAVE JEOPARDY. Just because my warning was right , why should I pretend I never made it?
If you think Trump supporters are not going to suffer big time because of how this rally turned out, you’re deluding yourself. The Dems haven’t even taken power yet. I fear we don’t know the half of how they’re going to wreak their revenge for what they’re calling the “insurrection”
Since I knew this could be the result of holding this rally - and making Trump supporters sitting ducks for leftist violence - I am angry with Trump for doing so and putting us in jeopardy
