I vote straight Republican. My father was a Democrat, and told us we had to vote Democrat too. He didn't know any better. He was born in 1904, came here as a little boy from Holland, and was naturalized when his father became a citizen. He only went to 4th grade, and worked the rest of his life on the New York Central Railroad. He was an FDR Democrat, and stayed with the party until he died in 1978.

My first ballot was cast in 1968 when I turned 21. He took me to the polling place, and told me I had to vote for Hubert Humphrey. I did, like a good, little girl. My first Republican vote was for Reagan, and I've never turned back. I will never vote for any member of the party of Satan. If my father was alive today, he wouldn't recognize the Democrat party, and I know he would never vote for anyone who supported abortion.

Sounds like the kind of questionaire a libertarian would propose.

Republicans vote lessor of two evils. Democrats vote greater of two evils.

I have been voting for 40 years.

Not one time have I ever voted for a Democrat or independent.

That’s the wrong thinking. The vast majority of Republican voters are Pro-Trump. We are the GOP now. Third Party isn’t an option, that’s why Trump ran as a Republican in the first place, to get the foot in the door to takeover the party. We cannot throw that away. It’s our GOP now!

Lesser of two evils (though considering the current state of the two main political parties it’s now a choice between useless men and Quislings and the party of Satan).

Historically one of the consequences, or maybe even an intended feature, of the 17th Amendment was to neuter independent and regional parties.

Before the 17th Amendment a State or regional political party could hope to be significant nationally simply because of legal political success in the legislature, influencing the closing of Senators even if not being dominant enough to actually choose them. The 17th undercut the ability of these lesser political parties to not represent wasted votes relative to supporting either of the big two.

This is similar to another among the many consequences of the 17th, including such monumental turds as changing the relationship between the States and the Court, likewise delivering influence previously held by State legislatures over to the two big political parties — itself a precursor to party platforms essentially replacing the Constitution as amended with the generous help of the Court as transpired under FDR and later rubber stamped by Eisenhower.

Lesser of two evils or evil of two lessers. Take your choice.

If the Pubbies cut and run from this fight, will you turn out for them in 2022?

No. I didn't vote for Romney or McCain, I voted for Trump. If the GOP doesn't back Trump to the hilt, I'm done.

I have always been an independent. I don’t always vote Republican, but not once have I ever voted Democrat. In the presidential elections of 1972, 1992 and 2012 I voted third party.

I call them "losertarians", because they don't understand that it's the red jersey or the blue jersey, if you want to appoint Federal judges.

The Republicans who voted for Joek and The Hoe don't understand that, either.

Back in the day there were plenty of Democrats running in Texas with no Republican running against them but some independent type ... so while I’ve never voted for a Democrat of any sort I did vote for quite a number of others.

I haven't been registered as a Republican since they foisted McCain on us. I am "No Party Preference."

I vote straight Republican, since the Libertarian Party isn't any more libertarian than the Democratic Party is democratic.

Voting Republican seems to slow the advance of collectivism somewhat. Older white working-class voters are now wide-awake and angry thanks to Trump - while new crops of 18-year-old voters are still being cranked out of government schools in a thoroughly brainwashed state. Ignoring the GOP means that younger groups will vote as they are told, with quick and disastrous consequences.

I expect to keep voting GOP - even if that means holding my nose and supporting RINOs like AZ Governor Doug Ducey in a 2022 Senate race against Kyrsten Sinema. A rebellion against the Deep State is evidently not possible - but the Deep State might one day encourage patriots to take out the collectivists if they get too bold. And vice versa...

Until Rep fear us, they’ll do nothing. How do we make them fear us? Vote for their opponent one, maybe two, election cycles.

They exist because we vote for ‘the lesser of two evils’. It hasn’t worked.

I posted this earlier listing what we have lost and what we could gain if organized.
