Thanks. Very encouraging, given the kinds of vandalism we’ve seem from amped-up Democrats re Trump supporters in the past few months. In an environment like this, it would seem to be more risky to have Trump signs up than it was in 2016. For the signage to be more lopsided in Trump’s favor vs 2016 seems to suggest either that Trump voters are more motivated, or that some Hillary voters have now switched to Trump. Either way, MI should be solidly in Trump’s column. Of course, it ain’t over until the fat lady sings ...

Re stealing votes, today was the first day to vote in person in the State of Maryland. I arrived at the polling location at approximately 9:15 am. I went through the preliminary process of voter identification, and was escorted to a voting machine and given verbal instructions how to make my candidate selections. There are three choices for President and Vice President; Republican candidates, Democrat candidates, and Third Party candidates. Voter selection is made by touching a circle next to the names of the candidates.

After my selections for all elective offices Federal and State were made, a summary of how I voted appeared on the computer screen. To my surprise, instead of confirmation that I had selected for President and Vice President of the United States, Donald Trump and Mike Pence, this summary indicated that I had voted for the 3rd Party candidates. I brought this irregularity to the attention of the polling center attendants who were unable to explain why this irregularity occurred, and they asked me to repeat the voting process. The irregularity did not occur again.

When I returned home I immediately began calling local radio stations and County and State Boards of Elections concerning the voting irregularity I experienced. I also emailed the White House to report my experience. Meanwhile I was called by a supervisor at the Garrett County Board of Elections who informed me that the problem I experienced was sometimes caused by the voter, but can also be caused by computer programming problems that have been experienced since the system was first brought online in 2016.

Bottom line: Pay CLOSE attention when you vote to be sure such irregularities do not nullify your candidate selections.
