“I hope she sees negative movement in the polls that causes reconsideration on the matter”

You know this might help her come Nov. with Indys and squishy Dems

My liberal college professor friend is very impressed with ACB so the senators should be very careful.

She is a very aspirational woman who seemingly does it all with aplomb. I’m impressed.

Yes, I agree. Her voting YES to Barrett will not change anything. Her NO vote may save the senate seat.

I live in Maine.

Our previous governor, Paul LePage, was elected in 2010 and re-elected in 2014. He was the most conservative governor in the entire country.

Because of term limits, he couldn’t run again in 2018. 2018 was a lousy year for the GOP, because of the media and their Mueller / Russian hoax. The little known Republican candidate lost by eight points to Maine’s attorney general, a 70+ liberal named Janet Mills, who is now governor.

LePage wants to run again in 2022, and I hope he does so.

There are a number of conservatives in the Maine House and Maine Senate, which was Republican controlled until 2018. It may go GOP this year.

The most liberal area of Maine is the First Congressional District in the southeast corner of the state....20% of the land area of Maine. Hillary won this district four years ago. The first district skews the statewide vote totals because of the high percentage of liberals who live there.

The Second Congressional district is more rural, and more conservative. It is 27,000 square miles....80% of Maine....and in area, it is the largest congressional district east of the Mississippi. Candidate Trump won this district by 10 points in 2016 and earned one electoral vote as a result.

Hillary won the First district and the statewide popular vote by 2.9%, earning her a total of three EVs.

In 2018, our GOP congressman in CD 2 “lost” his re-election bid, even though he had 2200 MORE votes, because of rank choice voting.

I live in Maine, too, and I will be holding my nose and voting for Susan Collins.

Like you said, the RAT challenger, Sarah Gideon, is a real piece of work. Gideon is so far to the left, she makes Susan Collins look like Sarah Palin in comparison, which of course she’s not.

I want President Trump to have a GOP senate, especially for judicial nominations.

Susan Collins voted for Kavanaugh and Gorsuch, and nearly ALL of the president’s hundreds of other judicial picks. Gideon would have been a “no” vote on all of them.

Collins also voted for the president’s tax cuts, which gave us a booming economy.

I know she leaves a lot to be desired, but she’s the only choice and we must keep the Senate.

Maine had the most conservative governor in the country with Paul LePage, elected in 2010 and 2014.

He will run again in 2022. He was term limited in 2018.

Rank choice voting does not apply to state offices in Maine, because Maine’s constitution mentions a plurality and the federal constitution does not.

I never heard of Gideon being a lesbian before.....she has a husband and three kids. She’s a 100% moonbat, that’s for sure.
