I apologize for the vanity. I've been a freeper for well more than ten years and have never written one but I have to pull the trigger today.

While I know some attention has been paid to college football and the decision by the Pac-12 and Big Ten not to play this fall, conservatives haven't put nearly as much pressure on Big Ten governors and university presidents. There is not a more important region of the country than the Big Ten reason when it comes to President Trump being reelected.

You can choose to believe me or not but I have close connections to multiple Big Ten athletic directors. They are furious about the Big Ten's decision not to play football. This decision will cripple their athletic departments for years. All of the Big Ten athletic directors wanted to play, which is pretty well established. What isn't widely known that about half of the Big Ten presidents wanted to play, and nearly the rest were willing to play, with the exception of Northwestern and Michigan. The UM president, Mark Schlissel, is an epidemiologist by background. Those two presidents pushed through the decision and the Big Ten athletic directors were completely left out of the decision-making process.

New Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren, who came to the Big Ten from the Minnesota Vikings with no college administration experience, "represented" the athletic directors. The AD at Northwestern was on the search committee that hired Warren. This is very inside knowledge but Warren had been demoted with the Vikings. He was no longer doing contracts because he kept messing them up and he was demoted to handling the scheduling of banquets. I kid you not.

Governor Whitmer came out yesterday and doubled down on the decision not to play football. Can you imagine being the President of the University of Michigan and the governor of the state of Michigan and being so opposed to playing football? The governor is really vulnerable in this area and conservatives need to continue to attack her on this issue.

The Big Ten had announced its revised scheduled for the fall and then pulled the plug after a study was released claiming the potential for myocarditis increasing as a result of Covid. Yesterday, I study was released refuting this report. Even earlier in the week University of Michigan cardiologist Venk Murthy and head of Mayo Clinic genetic cardiologist Michael Ackerman said that date was incorrect. In the study that was released today, it was learned that a significant portion of COVID-recovered have abnormal heart scans but, in comparison to "risk factor-matched" controls, there was no statistically significant difference.

In another twist, the Big Ten commissioners son is playing this year at Mississippi State. So he feels comfortable enough to have his son play in the SEC, but the league that he leads and is destroying isn't playing.

Link the governor of Michigan and the president of the University of Michigan and pound them with the the fact that this is all about politics, and certainly not science.

It will be interesting to see if this happens more and more (PAC 12/ Big 10 players transferring immediately)

Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin should just join Another conference. The rest of the Big ten should either quit football or join some division 2 conference.

I don't WANT conservatives to put pressure on the Big Ten governors and university presidents. I want conservatives to say, "See what liberals do to every American tradition? In the conservative South, football and normal life reflect Republican values."

Honestly, I do feel for the PAC-12 and Big10 fans. But when the enemy (liberals) are digging a hole, don't stop them.

I think when SEC and ACC football start just over a month before the election, the contrast between liberal over-hype and conservative embracing of Americana is going to create a political fury in PAC-12 and Big10 states like we've never seen. There won't be one fan in the western US that isn't furious and blaming liberals for the shutdown. Each Saturday, and every Sunday when rankings come out, they will spit with fury that their team is sidelined.

This pain to you is going to pay off biggly politically.

The Dem Guvs and University Presidents get their orders from on high. The idea is to break every plate in the China shop and blame it on the bully bull, Trump.

They sacrifice babies, so it’s easy to sacrifice jobs, economies, freedom and football. Not much of a stretch if one is already of totalitarian fascist mindset.

Ein volk, ein misery, ein reich. Hail Hydra. Hail Obama.

Kevin Warren is a far left lunatic who was a big Hillary supporter. The Big 10 was ready to play until President Trump said he was in favor of College Football playing a regular schedule.

Once Warren heard that the President was for it - he was against it. Governor Witless seized on the opportunity to back another Anti-Trump campaign.

I’m sorry, but with all else that is going on across the country, football isn’t even on the list of things of actual importance IMO.

It sounds like this was a political decision, designed to harm the president in the Midwest.

What can we do? Call the Big Ten? Call the athletic directors? What do we do from here?

Great post.

I am still trying to put my head around the concept of no Husker football this fall. College football is a huge part of our culture here in Nebraska. The fact that this SJW dipshit cancelled the season for what appears to be his own racial agenda is almost inconceivable. And the idea of playing college football in the spring is an unworkable joke.

Any of you Sooner fans out there, please know that my large group of friends here in the Lincoln/Omaha area that normally get together and watch the Huskers every weekend have adopted Oklahoma as our team this year. We will be cheering for our favorite old rival this year to win it all. Boomer Sooner!!!
