Yep - common rookie mistake.
Years ago, a friend bought a Kawasaki 900 and it was sprinkling when he went to pick it up.
Knowing he was a novice, the shop tried to get him to wait for nicer weather but he insisted...
As he started to pull out of the parking lot, turning/leaning a tad to the right, he gave it a little goose and spun out right there...not 200 feet on the bike and it was scraped up real good - along with his leg and elbow...

In all fairness, when I read “electric bike,” I thought “rich guy, big fancy too-fast electric motorcycle.” Apparently that’s not the case.

ICD code 187, more specifically, Herbert was caught in the belt of his sawmill on his farm. He was injured in the afternoon and died during the night. Not much they could do for that kind of injury back in 1925.
That reminds me of a classic Men From Maine bit.
