General Tata is a racist, right wing, Qanon conspiracy believer. The Senate was about to reject his nomination for Undersecretary of Defense. So, Trump had him withdraw the nomination over the weekend and proceeded to appoint him to a job where he will do all the same work with a slightly lesser title.
