Aspirin was relatively new during the Spanish Flu. It was used to reduce the fever by giving it in massive doses (by today’s standards), and exacerbated the death toll by half (by some estimates).

You have to give those German scientists at Bayer credit: between heroin, chlorine gas and (apparently) aspirin, they have helped a lot of people die miserably.

I haven’t found kale bitter, so not sure. Moringa is ...very bitter. I didn’t find it like arugula which is more hot. Perhaps the younger more tender leaves are less so.
