These antibodies are different from the ones the body naturally produces to fight the virus. These 'therapeutic antibodies' basically make the virus powerless inside the body while the immune system prepares to attack and destroy the virus. Regeneron's REGN-COV2 is the top candidate right now. Hopefully it will enter the market in a matter of months
