The last time the PLA was in a military conflict against a foreign power they lost to Vietnam.

Even a small carrier could conceal and transport thousands of troops. Landing them would be another matter.

“they hate the chi-coms.”?
\The Chinese people are very aware still of the murderous way they were treated by the Japanese military during the rape of Nanking.

“The last time the PLA was in a military conflict against a foreign power they lost to Vietnam.”

I once read an interesting piece that suggested that Deng Xiaoping — then Chinese premier — was being pushed by the Maoists in the PLA to invade Vietnam in retribution for their invasion of Cambodia — a close ally. The article suggested that Deng was pretty sure the PLA would fall on its face and that would give him the excuse to remove some of the more senior generals that were standing in the way of force modernization. Of course it could also be an ex-post facto face-saving excuse for a major fuster-cluck. You decide.

Run it with shipment of whatever and see if chicoms fire on a US flagged ship or warship. Have some SSN’s in the bullpen and if they fire turn’em loose and send the chicoms to Davy Jones locker.

If the chicoms think they are losing the mandate from heaven to govern they will pick a fight with Taiwan or Japan or both as a distraction in an attempt to retain power.

I think an invasion of Kinmen Island would be the easiest for China and a good practice run for a bigger invasion. The Taiwanese island is just 2 kilometres from the Mainland with a total population of 127k.

Not sure if Western powers are willing to help defend Kinmen.

Never let a Chinese laboratory manufactured virus pandemic go to waste. These are the most devious mofos on the planet, much more clever than Iranian Muslims

Taiwan has promised china that the first thing they will do is take out the Three Gorges Dam. china worries a lot about that as it would cost china a major source of electricity. 28 gates, each with the flow of the Mississippi river.

An someone knowledgeable about carrier operations tell us if the a Chicoms can launch multi plane air strikes, recover, rearm and relaunch continuously for multiple days like The US Navy can? I suspect they are not really trained up for heavy ops.

Ski-jump carriers can’t launch strike aircraft with heavy payloads of fuel or ordnance. They’d have to push their carriers in close inviting a counterstrike, while their own strikes would be inconsequential.

Excellent Indian Navy assets-— and not friends to the chi-coms (anyway, since no longer a soviet russia). They work well with us on joint exercises— and are more merchant oriented than even the chinee.

So it is said. Rare “open” announcement— a chess move.

Sub Command does not... ever, comment on operations in real time, and not much post operation, if at all. This is... all good.

Some of them. Some of them remember Manchukuo. So what— generationally these are not memories of the population (those generations largely disappeared by several huge Maoist famines, killing millions). They are only “aware” of it only to the extent of current chi-com propaganda telling them this.

Maoists have done far worse-— to their own people, than the Rape of Nanking, while obscuring the history for their own purposes. Japanese got rid of the samurai/shogun meme in the death knell poetic movement of Misima, and channeling this new stoicism in the manner of W. Edwards Deming. The Japanese post WWII economic miracle of Deming is what these later generations of Japanese grew up on. And they, btw, are the major lynchpin for economic engine of the chi-coms dependency.

I first hand have seen the economic miracle of Asia in South Korea.
Most inventive and hard working folks Ever.
We here in the U.S. have not really seen war since our Civil War.
It changes folks.
Makes them want for and work harder to achieve.
