My favorite was the road trip Mr. Drysdale took with Fairchild, the moonshine swilling bear. Both ended up arrested for running the moonshine.

I hadn’t watched the Hillbillies forever but the other day I recorded one - Granny got all dressed up in surgical garb with Jethro as her assistant, planning to operate on Elly May’s bear because it had eaten what Granny thought was a love letter from Petticoat Junction.

That whole series was pure genius, theme songs included.

I'm going to have to re-watch this one. Probably last time I saw it was in the 1970s.

The character Jethro reminds me of somebody I work with.

Best one when Jed was going to go buy a yacht and by mistake ended up at the navy shipyard and he was dressed in an admirals uniform and the took the Clampets out for a cruise on a destroyer.

Was that the one in which Jethro turned the ship around in a tight circle?

I always liked when Lester and Earl came to visit.

Perry Botkin’s guitar licks were memorable.

“Ellie was a drag on the series.”

Are you out of your mind! Egads, man. She was THE main reason to watch it. (but the humor was a good second place)

I like the episode of the Clampets shooting pistols out by the Cement Pond...driving nails.

Current PC fail.

I’m partial to the episode where Granny was going to cut off Mr. Drysdale’s head & transplant it onto a monkey’s body at her kitchen table.

After all the nails were driven into the board (all on 1 shot each), I think Jethro went and turned the board around, so as they could drive the nails back out of the board

LAPD would have strafed the area in this era.

I loved the episode with Granny mistaking an escaped Kangaroo for a giant jackrabbit.

What about the one where they figured a “Topless” restaurant must mean that the waitresses didn’t wear any...

hats?
