First border wall contract awarded for Laredo, Texas at $275 million

McALLEN, TEXAS (Border Report) — A $275 million contract has been awarded to an Alabama company to start construction of a 14-mile border wall in Laredo, Texas.
Similar to other portions of border wall being built in South Texas and throughout the Southwest, this project will consist of a 30-foot-high bollard wall with all weather roads, enforcement cameras and special lighting, according to a announcement made by U.S. Customs and Border Protection late Friday.
This will be the first portion of a border wall to go up in Laredo, which sits across the Rio Grande from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.
The contract was awarded to Caddell Construction Company LLC of Montgomery, Alabama, and construction is slated to begin in January 2021. However, much of the land in Webb County is privately owned and must be obtained before construction can begin.
The City of Laredo in February said it would not give CBP access to any city-owned property and would go to court to halt wall construction if necessary. And in adjacent Zapata County, county commissioners voted to deny Border Patrol right of entry onto county property.

Did anyone see Lindsey Graham on with Jeanine? Oh my goodness, he was pathetic. I’m going to say this and I’m going to ask this person and that person and blah, blah, blah. It was embarrassing. The Judge was pretty worked up and she went after him somewhat. I wish she had asked him about all of the other investigations and hearings and general b.s. he has said over the last few years.
Hannity works for two Democrats. I’m amazed Fox has kept him on. We can gripe about Hannity but he’s on a short leash and don’t kid yourself he’s not free to do and say whatever he wants. He has a part to play or its curtains. Hannity’s a very kind person who takes in people with problems. He’s there for Levin and Bob formally on The Five. My 2 cents..Not much. Linda was speaking in a normal tone of voice, but when Jeanine challenged him somewhat, saying how sick and tired Americans are waiting for something to actually happen, he just kind of raised his voice a bit to sound tough. I have to wonder what’s in his closet.
I love his tenacity, passion & how he goes after & sticks to an issue. My problem is that he wastes so much time repeating the same stuff we have heard a hundred times, that he doesn’t let his guests get new information out. Also, he books too many guests & has 2 or 3 on each segment that all the information that could get out, doesn’t.
He had on the TX salon owner a couple of nights ago by herself. She was on for probably 5 - 10 minutes & it was a very good interview. He actually asked questions, rather than talking about all the blue collar jobs he had, and all the law enforcement people in his family.
I think on the same show he has Carter, Solomon & one other all on in the same segment. It was a short segment & they said only about 5 words.
