Replace “Because” by The Beatles with “Seven Bridges Road” by the Eagles for a group vocal if you’re looking for a true tight harmony. “Great Gig in the Sky” by Pink Floyd maybe the greatest single vocal of all time from Clare Torry, but Floyd is another league to begin with.
Fish (Marillion) - Slainte Mhath

Screamin’ Jay Hawkins - I Put A Spell On You.
? & The Mysterians - 96 Tears.
Edge of Seventeen- Stevie Nicks
I’ve come to appreciate Jay Traynor of Jay and the Americans over the years. Great range and power.
FWIW, Chubby Checker’s “The Twist” is the number 1 song of all time......
...and then I heard Gretchen Wilson sing Barracuda... wow.
10. Ball and Chain Live at the Monterey Pop Festival - Janice Joplin

3. 18 and Life - Skid Row
2. Unchained Melody - Righteous Brothers
1. Queen of the Reich - Queensryche
Uh... Van Morrison?
He isn’t a rock artist, but I think John Denver deserves a mention. He sang well, used accompaniment sparingly and it never hid or overpowered his voice. He was a very good songwriter and all of his lyrics can be clearly understood. Usually just his voice and his guitar in front of thousands of people. That takes courage.
6. Crucify - Bloodgood (it's chilling to hear the lead singer singing as though he's King Herod and moving from pleading for Jesus' life to yelling Take Him!!)
5. You're All I Needed - Allies (kinda pop-rock, with Bob Carlisle as lead singer)
4. Morningstar - Petra (one of the first songs with Volz doing lead vocal, very much a 70's rock sound)
3. Your Will - Barren Cross (power ballad with the power being God's will making it mean a lot more)
2. Honestly - Stryper
1. Grave Robber - Petra (admittedly a mild rock)
Left out “White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane. Grace Slick could blow out your speakers.
Yes - Hold On. One can debate on the vocals, but the poetry certainly relates to today. Constitution screw up, shattering the dreams..
