TX is definitely opening up.
Our restaurants are only allowed 25% capacity, at this time.
One the state advances to next stage, restaurants can then have 50% capacity.
This is going to be tough on already suffering restaurant owners, barely hangin on.
We haven’t ordered restaurant food, since before shut down. We HAVE purchased gift cards, to help support local places.
We have family/friends who’ve been ordering take out/delivery this entire time. They’re mixed ages.....30s to 80s....and, so far, they’re all fine.
We’ve been getting grocery deliveries, for the past two months...for things like produce, and a few things that we could use a refill to our supplies.
We ventured out and did a curbside pick up order, this morning.
No contact....and, we know that items are coming home in our OWN trunk :)
Was interesting to see the number of masks and gloves being worn by CUSTOMERS going inside the store.
I’d say at least had masks. Several also had gloves.
Our store doesn’t require masks.
I read that Costo is now requiring ALL customers to wear masks, to enter/shop.
We’re not going inside of stores, yet. Really no need to, since there’s delivery or curbside.
Interesting progress. Thank you for that update. In Maryland, everything is still closed minus essential businesses. Masks are required before entering any business.
I am following the state governments leads. Will be doing business in multiple states later in the year. But my business will require everyone to be masked. No mask. No service. And we will have masks available. But we have to be smart and limit liability. All it takes is one super spreader and your business gets shutdown hard for cleanup and your rep is ruined. Have no problems with people running risky business situations, that is their choice. But for heavens sake, let me do what I think is neccessary for my business. Dont lump all of us people staying home for 3 to 4 months as being anti business and anti freedom. The old world is gone. We are building a new one.

Limited and staged openings. Be smart about it. You dont want to be that state that everyone says. at least we were not like ......

I have no issues with masks. Plus, it’s your business - you should set the rules for you.
I wore masks before this so I will continue on again. I don’t own Cheap ones tho. My masks are to protect me too.

This is the situation with the new virus. Initially everyone including the Chinese thought the viral pneumonia was the main killer. They put people on respirators and 75 to 86 % all died. Our entire biomedical field was fooled by this virus. Now it appears to be the blood clotting that is killing people. Patients have a lack of energy (ATP) and oxygen. Putting more oxygen in their lungs with respirators wont help if the blood is not flowing. This is not just a flu. It is absurd to claim that now. It appears now to be a disease of the Endothelium.
Now combine knowing all that. With our Intelligence agency stating it is not man made. Why on earth would they do that at this time. They want people protesting and dying ?
Cool. The issue I had was with one of the Facebook quotes. Not yours. Was trying to make that clear initially.
If you realized how easy it is to create these microbes you’d probably wear mask and gloves and do delivery indefinitely.
This virus isn’t a one off.
Personally, I do not think it’s just the flu.

When you live being told, not to pick weeds nor plant flowers because there’s molds in the dirt which can give me fungal pneumonia., I don’t. When I hear there’s a measles outbreak in my area , I get irritated as I don’t know who it is that may put me in the hospital. A flu is not just a flu to me. The only time I’ve been sick since, (because I’m super careful)it started with some sinus issues , got pink eye, the dr ran the tests being done now to check for every imaginable cause. 2 days later I ended up with pneumonia, sinus infection, and endocarditis (fluid around the heart).
Since this virus, I’ve masked up and did grocery shopping (an hour before closing). Not because I don’t take it seriously. I’m at risk for cytokine storm just as easily from many viruses because this is my new normal.
I spent a year as a bubble girl. I don’t need anyone to tell me to be careful because I spend the very little life I have being careful. I know what serious is. Long before this virus. So, I take serious offense by being called a ‘flubro’. Not that anyone cares what offends me by some of the posts I’ve read today. There’s nothing cool about this.

Trump is doing an excellent job. He has to deal with the Stalinists on the left that want to use this crisis to establish their commie paradise and the anarchists on the right that want nature to take it’s course and to let God sort it out to establish their libertarian utopia. The lunatic fringes on both ends don’t care how many have to die to see their vision(s) fulfilled.
I’ve also read that Sweden chose their path because the muzzie trouble makers wouldn’t follow the protocol anyway. So it may have been a 2-for-1 choice. Kill off the ‘useless eaters’ and let their worst moslems infect each other.
