Since the piece was displayed in a case, it has to have some sort of documentation. Find the date of the display case, then look through the church’s records from that time.
They tell me there is a “sword” in that picture.
To see Mexican army uniforms swing by the National Museum at Cultectepec Castle (sp) in Mexico City. Santa Anna’s general dress uniform is on display. He was in the 4’8” range. BTW this is the Halls of Montezuma place. The very strongly built castle is on top of a several hundred foot tall, steep wooded rock. Essentially, the Marines assaulted a near impenetrable medieval castle.
So, what is the mystery in which the sword is surrounded? I’m not sure I’d classify ancient unknowns as mysteries. It was undecorated, but that doesn’t make it ceremonial. I’ve seen some very beautiful weapons that were definitely weapons of war. Perhaps the mystery is that it wasn’t found with its original box and paperwork.
Well, I wasn’t going to brag..... Ha ha.

One of my favorite books is ‘The Book of the Sword’, Richard F. Burton
He goes into all this detail about early metal working.... when, where, who...etc.
The footnotes are as informative and interesting as the text.
The small size is what struck me on my first visit to NYC Metropolitan Museum's Hall of Armor. Possibly the world's best collection. Not easy to gauge the heights because the armored suits are displayed on plinths, but width and leg size clearly show the differences between us and them. Even the horse mounted displays show much smaller horses.
Then again, there's this guy...

Bronze Age (from one source) - Early Bronze Age Period 3300-2100 BC
That’s alloying, melting and casting Bronze.
Such early things were Prestige items, and would become symbolic heirlooms, and thus why this thing could still exist after ~ 5000 years.

Bronze, something like 90% copper and 10% tin...Not forged...Cast, most likely in a clay or sand mold, from poured molten bronze...
