Did da fishy eat my brudder?

Good morning.

I turned the TV on, having shut it off last night while it was on the local FOX station, and what am I met with? Dr Oz (whom I think is a quack, anyway) ranting and raving, albeit in calm and cool tones, about how horrible and rotten the COVID-19 virus is and we’re all gonna die.

With people like him perpetuating the panic factor, its no wonder people are frantic. And he said that Amazon finally stepped in and put a stop to $75+ packages of toilet paper. Did he mean just now? Last week?

I’m sick to death of these people.

Watching TV seems to make people upset, unless it’s soothing British murders or animal shows.

I think Dr. Oz is a quack, too.

It appears that James and his other brother James will be coming to Walmart. They want soda.

At least it’s not raining!

I need to go to Walmart to replenish the grain beverage.

And, no, it’s not raining, but it will be today and Sunday. Perhaps then we will start to dry out a bit. This is just not fun.

So. Off I go.

My heel is a little sore, but after the shower, I cleaned it with peroxide (I need to get some Betadine) and used Polysporin on it before I put the band aid on, so hopefully, it will begin to heal properly once again.

I got all the way out there only to read that the hours for seniors are from 0600 to 0700 on TUESDAYS ONLY! GAH!

So I will go back, though I really think that single hour once a week is discriminatory. But don’t get me started.

coconut oil capsules are a life-changer.

Thus solving the age old question, "Why did nobody on Gilligan's Island have COPD?"

There’s only so much warehouse space.

I saw a headline that the world is running out of places to store oil.

Until we have clear, definitive evidence these treatments are safe and effective for the treatment of COVID-19, they should only be used for this purpose within a clinical trial.

Makes sense. We wouldn't want anyone who is dying of COVID-19 infection to suffer through an incorrect medical treatment, would we? If they died after the treatment they might sue someone for providing the treatment before all trials were completed.

At least here in the Land of the Lawyer and the Home of the Lawsuit.

That’s the thing, ArGee. The consequences for being wrong legally and socially massive. The very people who are screaming, “Try anything!” will crucify anyone who tries something that doesn’t work.

Ya gotta do what ya gotta do to get that malt beverage!

At our Walmart, there was no TP, except one package an employee was taking somewhere. Eggs are back, $.57/doz. or like $.70 for 18, but I don’t have room for 18. No Crunchy Raisin Bran. Plenty of canned fruit; I’ll make Favorite Fruit Salad for the byos.

Artificial vanilla flavoring was in short supply and weirdly expensive, so I bought only one. It will last me quite a while if I keep it hidden from that person who snoops the kitchen when others aren’t around.

Unfortunately, I lose things when I hide them! I’ll bet I’ve got several packages of Sicilian Lemon Juice somewhere, but they’re so well-squirreled that they may be found when I’m dead and the house is sold!

Yup.

And if the pandemic isn’t as bad as it was predicted to be they will scream, “You were too extreme. It was never that bad.

I know about a lot of the work that went into fixing Y2K before 1/1/2000. So after midnight 1/1/2000, when things worked out, everyone claimed it was just a scam so consultants could get money. The truth was, they earned their money.

I wanted a single roll of paper towels, but there were none. Not a lot of TP but enough to satisfy, I think. The ladies from Colorado City, AZ (polygamist colony) were there, though not in force. Most of them like to shop when I do, so there aren’t 25 kids following them around the store.

I decided to just modify my grocery list so that instead of getting everything for the month in one trip, I’ll just get a few things in several trips. Not my choice, because I hate shopping, (CFIDS has done that) but I’ll do what I have to do for now.

Because Lin’s has things that Walmart doesn’t, I may have to split my shopping between the two stores in order to get what I normally get at Walmart in one trip.

Yes, my mother was famous for putting things in a place where she could find them later, but when “later” came, she couldn’t remember where they were. In that old house, there weren’t that many places!

When I left for Wally’s the first time, there were spots of rain on the windshield, and of course, I used the wipers. I pulled up to my favorite parking spot under the sodium vapor light and there was the crud the Epically Sloppy and Fill In The Blanks Lawn Service had left when they blew out the parking area and blew it onto the windshield. Again. (Two-car spot, mine and Rocky’s but she never uses hers.) Anyway, I got a bottle of water from the cargo hold and used it on the windshield so I could get it clean. *simmer*

Now, I think I’ll try edition II of Smedley the Sourdough Starter. I had to move the cases of water to open the water heater closet door, but that’s where I will try this version. We’ll see what happens by tomorrow. :o]

Good luck.

James and Vlad are talking about using the staple gun, so I suppose I need good luck, too. At least DP has Wilderness First Aid training, if something goes disastrously wrong ...
