What a sweet floof!
Good morning.
It was another awful night, last night, but I’m determined to make this a good day. I have to go to Walmart to pick up the last of the grocks, and get laundry money, and then come back and try to make order out of the chaos of the bookcases.
It will be slow going, but I will take photos of the books as I go. I’ll be glad when the thrift store opens again because I have so much to donate. I give stuff to the “sharing table” in the clubhouse, but it isn’t enough. I need to get rid of so much more that’s sitting around here...
Good morning. We’ll be taking some toilet paper and paper towels to a charity later today. I’m told they have a thrift shop, too.
The Salvation Army has closed the store near us, so I’m in the market for a new place to shop!
I had a rough night, too. I dreamed about a giant goose and that former resident. We were supposed to take the goose to the vet - well, it was a gander - but it kept getting dirty.
I’ve always found English funny because words have so many meanings. It is unfortunate that so many now weaponize the ability to misconstrue sentences to create pain. But I enjoy the game.
Good morning, everyone. It’s a kind-of Friday here because tomorrow will be a holiday. But happy Friday Eve!
I’m all about creating pain. Just ask various household residents, past and present.
I put a 300-piece jigsaw together this morning, and when I get back from Walmart, I’m going to print up the late Igor’s life story, in his own words, and get it ready to send to my Real Brother because he likes those kinds of things.
I’ll have to take the cover to the print shop for laminating, though, since I neglected to get a laminator with my stimulus check.
Anyway, it will be a fun morning. I think. ;o]
There’s nothing like having work you’re looking forward to to improve your morning.
Well, I didn’t get done what I want to, but I found something almost as fun.
I had knitted a Betsy Ross flag for my son for his 13th birthday (his request) and while I was in CO I was telling Favorite Daughter’s Significant Other about it. I rounded up the photo of the finished product and sent it to FD.
Now she wants one. After an hour’s searching, I found a pattern for the same Betsy Ross flag. So she can cross my palms with silver. Or gold. Or even a PayPal tweak. Now, of course, I want to drop everything and get started on it!
I think you should expect gold!
Tom the Son is supposed to come by later to discuss recipes involving bacon. Meanwhile, I’m thinking of an early nap. Every time I walk by the bedroom and see Jake sprawled in the sun, I feel very sleepy.
Out here the black market runs on toilet paper.
You can get a lot for a roll of 3-ply.
Well, FD showed the flag to her friend and her friend “wants” one. I told her the cost plus S&H and the wait time of 4-6 weeks and — *crickets*
LOL! Of course, FD sez, “Payday, Ma!”
Life is still turning at near-normal, here. At least most of us are “normal.” But then there is me — AB Normal.
We all look forward to payday.
Hot afternoon here.
Whoa! I got a really cool book today, and an even cooler card with a crock-a-gator on it. They were accompanied by my AAA renewal notice, which took the glow off a bit, but since they weren’t in the same package, it’s all good!
Getting warm here, but I’m almost ready for bed, so I’ll miss the worst of it. Darn. I walked over to the office and had a visit with Chuck. I told him of my semi-plans and he was OK, and said he would do some sleuthing for me. How ya like them apples?? (I couldn’t find USDA Remote Housing)
Oh, good. I was wondering if the Postal Snail was ever going to deliver that!
DP and I are going out to Matthews this evening, and it appears Tom the Son is also coming. Yesterday he said he had other plans, but they seem to have fallen through.
Tom is the Fun Son, so it’s all good.
It’s probably been here for a few days, but I haven’t been to check. I usually wait until I know there will be letters or bills, so its my bad.
However, I found something else to send to you as soon as I print up some more stamps... ;o]
Nice that Tom the Son will be around to offer some comic relief when one gets bored!
Have fun on your outing!
I received a package this afternoon, too, with several cute things. It’s just like Christmas ... even better than underwear from Hanes.com or organic pet snacks!
:o])
Woo-hoo!! Christmas in two places at once in July!! (I can’t recall what was in there except stuff from CO, including bookmarks!) LOL!
