Try not to wear yourself out too much!
The stamina puts me in check and limits what I can do and not do. Every job is done that I had set aside to be done today. Tomorrow is a Day of Rest when I do only what’s necessary and Monday is laundry day and Tuesday is final preparations day.
This will work out quite well, actually, because the Monday after I get home will be clothing day, rather than bedding and towels, and that’s what I’ll need because I don’t normally wash my clothes when I travel. I just dedicate a space bag or two and bring it all home to wash.
The morning kitteh tells me there is someone else out there in FR Land!!
Good morning.
I hope you had a good day yesterday. Is it just you and Asencion who are singing at today’s Mass?
There is still no word on when we’ll get to go back to church, and I’m beginning to think it will never happen. I miss it.
Sharon sent me a text yesterday saying she would come and visit this morning. I have no idea why, but its OK.
Good morning. Yes, it’s just Asuncion and me. Rules from the Diocese.
Around here, only the cats and I are showing signs of life. They were angry that I wouldn’t let them out at bedtime last night.
I went to revise my travel packing list and remembered I can’t print it, so sent it back to the slave.
Our Church Rules come from SLC for all over the world. I imagine they adjust them around the world according to hardest/least hardest hit, but for those of us here, nothing. Same ol’ stuff.
Has Bill the Son started back to work? How about his Anoreth?
correction: His sister Anoreth?
Gonna be one o’ those days.
Bill is supposed to start work next week. I don’t know what Anoreth is up to. She caught a case of “coronavirus panic” and is upset at anyone who isn’t afraid.
Some people get that way, and its a real shame. Especially after her military service.
I read a short article on FB this morning about the efficacy of wearing masks, and it was part of OSHA findings. Masks do no good except for the environments they were designed for. I've been saying that all along. The capper was that cloth masks are ineffective for anything but a fashion statement.
There seems to be little correlation between military service and common sense in life.
I still haven’t used my bandana.
I’ll be required to wear a mask from the time I enter the airport to the time I leave the next one, but I will be changing it every so often because they will make a person ill if worn constantly. I suspect a lot of people will develop lung problems as a result of wearing masks but I don’t know if any findings will ever be reported.
Remind yourself that it’s a game you have to play if you want to see your Real Brother, just as we all have to pretend that old heartland ladies are just as likely to blow up an airplane as young Middle Eastern men.
Yes, I’m good at that, and I think it’s because I moved around so much, both in the military and out of it. One learns to adapt to ones surroundings. “When in Rome,...”
And I really need to see my Real Brother. My Favorite Daughter was all excited with text messages, yesterday, trying to plan things and wanted to include Real Uncle and his wife. I was sad to have to remind her that he’s twice as old as he was the last time she saw him, and his wife is not well. They mostly stay home.
Did anyone in your house put up the flag, in honor of Flag Day?
I did, and added the Pledge! :o])
They were supposed to fix the flag mount, but they never have. Maybe I’ll get a real flagpole for my birthday with my money from OldTax-lady.
Shannon is lurking in the deep grass hassling the squirrels. Epic Fail Lawn Service fails epically, but it’s good for the wildlife drama.
If this were my own place, I’d have a real flagpole, but I have to make do with the lop-sided bracket that is between the front door and the window “shutter.” I cuss it every time I use it.
I shouldn’t because Chuck installed it because I asked him to, but its not very sturdy. It bothers me on really windy days. I’m afraid it will be yanked out of the wall and the flag will end up on the grass a few doors down.
The lawn in front of this place is coming back, after the previous renter allowed her little dog to do what she wanted. She was evidently somewhat of a digger.
I don’t see too many loose cats, but I get angry with all their owners because people come ripping through here like its a drag strip. The cats here are old and slow, just like their owners.
OK. I’ll take it.
