It could use it ...
Cool website. It appears I’m a “lyric contralto,” although I was a “coloratura contralto” twenty-five years ago. I can still hit a high-F on a good day, but it’s shrill.
It could use it ...
OK, I admit it...by introducing a cheesy word. But 'brie' was an honest mistake...really.
I just wanted the Fachs and now I’m all confused. So I’m going to take myself down the hallway.
Tomorrow is Monday and I need my beauty sleep.
Ta, all...
In my jr HS music class one of the first sessions had students singing a short piece for classifications. I was given three attempts...after which my teacher said, “If you pass all the written work that will determine your final grade. Please don’t try singing along...ever.”
So my ‘singing’ voice is classified as ‘audience’.
I’m better at carrying bricks than a tune.
The meaning came through, but if people keep trying to be punny, I’ll have to go to bed, as well.
My late father was stone cold tone deaf. It’s a thing.
I could maybe do that, but it would have to be on a bad day -- like a really bad day, if you know what I mean.
Not tone deaf, actually good enough for picking on the guiter...just can’t get vocal chords synced up for synching...more of a software problem with a few translation instructions missing.
At first glance, that floof looked like an albino bat!!
Good morning.
The laundry is mostly done, but I just have to hang the sleep shirts and make the bed. As I was taking the pillowcases from the dryer, I noticed one of the side seams was a little wonky. It’s one of those pillowcase styles that completely encloses the pillow. I’ve seen them, but only on really expensive sheet sets. Wow. Go, Overstock!
When I get in better shape, I may even walk to the post office. It’s about 1.5 miles away. Lin’s is there, too, so there are a lot of things I could find and excuse to do on a walk. The library, of course, is only two blocks. :o]
With my trusty over-size backpack, I can buy grocks to last a week!
A little at a time! Pay attention if something hurts more than usual.
Good morning. The kitten is a rescue and seems a little under-furred. Maybe he floofed up later in life.
The little guy also looks gaunt, poor little floof.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the course of my life and the ongoing syndrome, is not to push myself. It’s a sure recipe for disastrously horrendous relapses. I’m tryna quit relapses!
Before I walk too far, I need to get a good pair of walking shoes. When I was doing a lot of walking in Vegas, I bought boy’s boots. I’ll check the prices of them tomorrow when I go for groceries, but I doubt if I’ll have enough after grocks to get them.
Now, I’ll go hang the sleep shirts.
Luck with the shirts! I need to survey the upstairs to see which young persons have fallen back into bed. It takes talent to fall into a top bunk, but my sons are talented!
Happy Monday, all.
As to that wish for a safe weekend, we started with a tornado that knocked out power for 18 hours. We weren’t here for all 18 as we had planned a trip back to the wildlands to exchange some moving supplies for things we’d left for the second trip. We decided to chance the PA governor turning back NYS plates at the border.
Well, with no elevator on Saturday morning we carried everything down 4 flights and then took our trip. We did some planning around throwing out everything in our fridge (we had been stocking up due to COVID-19, dontchaknow). We had an uneventful drive, got a lot of stuff done, filled our minivan with things to bring back, and started our return trip on Sunday morning.
After another uneventful drive we found the Internet was out, as was the elevator. We thought carrying all that stuff down was hard!
But we got it all back up. Found some of the most necessary replacement food at the local supermarket, and got back to normal.
Achy, but normal.
I’m glad you survived! Happy Monday!
Well, bad things come in threes, and it sounds like you’ve gotten that out of the way for the next year, at least. ;o]
What an adventure! Hot showers are excellent for that achy feeling. I hope you’re both feeling better now, after resting.
I’ve been for an outing. We saw geese. Now it’s time to vacuum upstairs, even if Jake doesn’t like it.
I was coming back from mailing the DVD to AR and saw a daddy robin almost on top of a crow, obviously chasing him...trying to get him to drop the egg in his mouth. That was so sad.
It made this a real Monday.
It’s stories like that that cause me to fume that we can’t evict a nest of starlings that are in our AC vent making a huge amount of ruckus and waking us up every morning.
But there’s a law against disturbing a nest that has young in it - unless you’re a crow or something.
