A little bit of class when we all need it.
..But Linda Ronstadt says she was the one who ‘discovered’
The Eagles. Maybe they both did.
Wow. Ive never seen this before either. Kenny Rogers & Michael Jordan playing...hoops? Strong jump shot! We miss you, Kenny. RIP. https://t.co/rsVdr87ail— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) March 23, 2020
Stories like these help us get through hard times. Thanks.
And coming from Don Henley even.
Henley and Frey played in Rheostat’s stage band. Both left together to start their own band which became the Eagles.
A good friend of mine had the Eagles play at his high school prom at Pacific Palisades High School in Los Angeles in 1970 or 1971.
You are so welcome.
He didn’t discover them. He just got Henley to Los Angeles, where he met the others.
Didn’t realize he was a football guy ...
I dont believe in blaming the dead guy for atrocities committed by the living.
He was a good guy. He was doing a show near us, my mom was a big fan, and was very ill. He took a time to meet and greet her personally before the show.
this guy?
no, wait.that was Van Halen...
Country and rock were intertwined, free flowing and marvelously creative back then.
Before he was famous, my uncle used to go listen to Kenny Rogers play at the Holiday Inn lounge in Houston. I think it was in the late 60’s.
I was a big fan of Commander Cody, great blend of country and rock.
Amen!
