Thats about the fifth study with the fifth determination.
I guess it will live on stuff until you wipe it off.
VCU as well. Two week break. Then all online.
I didn’t mean to suggest we could be like Singapore, it’s more the amount of money they immediately appropriated for it, as well as the seriousness with which the populace and the government took the issue.
Thanks that’s a cool map. Yeah there’s obviously no way to replicate their ability to clamp it down, but they put the 4.5 billion right off the bat - whereas we put a lot less, tonight Trump announced 50 billion for small businesses which is great - but was needed 6 weeks ago for testing, which is still flailing with reports of problems with even the latest batch. I would have to chase down the articles but maybe other folks have already covered it today.
At this point, throwing money at the problem is pushing on a string.
There are no people to hire, no equipment to buy off the shelves, and very few facilities to make them.
If it gets bad (And I dont know if it will) we are screwed.
Yep. Prayers up.
If we could act like Singapore locally in sections of the country and counties we would be better off we need to go old school and shut it all down. We would be better off in the long run. If things get really bad we may need a Jubilee.
I agree that we could shoot for that on a local level - I’d love to see Alaska just LOCK DOWN. We had the highest mortality rate of any state for the Spanish Flu - now things are different now in terms of that fact that some of the villagers had 0 immunity to anything back then, and most have more now - but still, who knows how some of them would react now.
On a state level yes. Counties would be wise also to take over locally to keep civil rights and liberties in check and support those they were elected to support. We are in uncharted seas in these modern times. Some places are gonna be hit harder then others.
Yeah true! By lock down I more mean don’t allow anybody in that doesn’t have a good reason to be here, and encourage all Alaskans to stay here, or quarantine when they return.
