This morning we received two emails. One is from one of our major vendors advising us of supply disruptions/delays on certain items. And one is from one of our multi-state manufacturing clients asking for input on forecasted disruptions of our upchain sources or other conditions that would affect our servicing of their locations. Including quarantines, air travel restrictions, etc. The client wants him to travel extensively this month for multiple plant renovate/rehabs. I want him retired for two months. He thinks he’s still a Jedi.
We have redundancy built into our upchain, so that’s not so much a worry as what happens if he goes out to a plant and suddenly the plant employees are quarantined? Or he can’t get a flight back? Never mind I’ll have to quarantine him when he gets home. Things are getting real, real, around here, and not in a TP hoarding kind of way.

My point is that the weather isn’t an issue. This virus doesn’t discriminate. People in the Southern Hemisphere are getting it and counting more cases daily also. They are still in summer but will be coming out of it soon. Might bode badly for them as this virus in conjunction with the regular flu will really take a toll on the med industry in those countries.

Well better safe than sorry as I see it. I’m canceling Physical Therapy because my Therapist travels a lot..is older...and plans to continue doing so. Just do what you’re comfortable doing and not if you’re not.
