Morning Kitteh says, “Happy Caturday!!”
Good morning. Up and at ‘em. I’ve been up almost two hours and I feel worn out! I have to go to Walmart, but it will be a short trip, for sure. I have things to do here.
Gonzo and Camilla spent another night in peace and they are currently on the same perch. She still has trouble navigating the cage because of her clipped wings. I don’t know how long it takes for them to grow out, but she’s not able to fly from the floor of the cage to the perches. She has to do it in stages by hanging onto the sides to make it to the next perch up.
If you’ve heard all this before, just erase it, OK? ;o])
I’ve been super busy, and, if there was previously an update about Gonzo and Camilla, I missed it. I’m glad they’re doing well, and I hope she can flutter soon.
Has the screaming subsided?
No unfortunately. Camilla joins in so that there is no break between one screaming and the other taking a deep breath for another one. They also now scream when I go into the bedroom. *sigh*
What have I DONE??? :o|
At least you know they care!
Maybe they’ll lose interest in time.
Maybe they’ll forget about it by the time I get back from CO!
I hate leaving them uncovered, but they’ll sleep when it gets dark, so it will be OK. And they’ll have enough food and water to last the week, as well. Nothing like a break in the routine to start a new routine!
National Geographic has cancelled the state Geography Bees (March 27) because of virus fears. I imagine it was driven by issues in California and Washington, which is sort of a trope for a lot of concepts: “California and Washington ... this is why we can’t nice things.”
The plan, at the moment, is for some sort of individual online testing on that day, details to come. This was Vlad’s last chance for statewide Geography acclaim. He’ll be too old next year.
That’s a good plan. Is there anyone who could stop in halfway through the week to check on them?
Chuck will stop in if I ask. Rocky might, if she isn’t beset with woes and medical appointments. I have time to think about it, so it isn’t critical.
My Real Brother and his wife picked the last week in April, so I won’t get to see the Cussler Museum. But it’s OK with me. I don’t want to spend a lot of time fighting tourists.
You’ll get the books, once I’ve had time to drool near them.
We’re out of bananas. That leaves me the legendary “fried egg on toast” for breakfast.
I can always plan on seeing the museum when I visit next time, probably in a couple of years. In the meantime, I can drool over the books. Or near them, so the pages don’t stick together.
Happy days, I’ve written three letters since yesterday! One more to go!!
It sounds as though you’re having an effective day. I waiting in a pretty long line to sign Frank and Kathleen up for a week of “day camp” at the gym in July. I’ll be going to Forest Service training.
Next, DP and I are performing at a wedding. We’ll have to leave in about half an hour so we can set up. Vlad and Frank will be altar servers in exchange for a food reward.
I wanted a beer so I went to Lin’s after the library, and they have water, toilet paper and probably hand sanitizer if I had looked for it. I got the beer home (non-alcoholic) and found that I still had five left in the door of the fridge. On the bottom shelf, mostly. So we’ll have a taste test between Coor’s and Miller’s Sharp’s.
And there were some GS with a table full of cookies! The little girls were rude and the den mother’s were busy elsewhere, chatting...
“And there were some GS with a table full of cookies! The little girls were rude “
And tomorrow the GS kids will be learning about the wonderfulness of Planned Parenthood.
Ya know, if you hadn’t quoted me, I would never have realized the mistake I made in “Den Mothers.”
Thanks!! I was disappointed that there were no thin mints...
But will I be supporting PP if I buy the cookies in the future?
A thought for another day. I’m outta here for now! ;o]
I’m very sorry that the stat Geography Bees have been cancelled, and I know its disappointing for Vlad. Please keep me posted. And yes, California and Washington ... this is why we cant nice things. is true.
See ya tomorrow! And I hope the wedding was “¡estupendo!”
It was really nice. In something of a surprise, Elen, USMC, has turned up on leave.
This one reminds me of grandson #2’s expression when riding the roller coaster.
Yeah, I can see that.
