How horrible.
But it is a reminder for everyone to check your car, make sure you didn't leave your kid (s) in there.

I'm sorry but HOW do you forget your kids are in the back seat? HOW? I have kids. I had a job when they were little. Never did I NOT know they were there, in the back seat.

I have no idea how anyone can forget a child or children. I have read that often when this happens it is not the parent/caregiver that normally drops them off. Change of normal routine.
I don’t know what to think when this happens but I have not been in the parent’s shoes. I did not work when my children were growing up so did not experience the day care drop off which seems to be the issue with most of these incidents.

So he can take 2 kids and spend 2 minutes strapping each kid in, but forgets they are there, and the wife never calls to check on if they got there? I have a 22 year old son that my wife tracks like a bloodhound. Me, I just leave him in the car, but he still figures out how to escape, the bum.

Lock his ass up. How long? As long as the life expectancy for a newborn.

The father should be left sealed in a car, in the desert, until he’s mummified.

Never meant to be a parent. I CANNOT imagine not thinking of my child (grandchild now) when I get out of the car. It just would not happen.

why don’t people stick a simple post it note on their dash board “kid(s) in back seat”?
They stop for coffee at drive thru, talk on phones, stop for gas, shave/makeup/hair, listen to music or stupid morning talk shows etc etc while driving to work but can’t prioritze their kid?

What a great “social worker.” I wonder how much he’s helped other families with their problems.

There have been something like 21 of these deaths this year. I wonder why you rarely if ever hear about kids being left in a freezing car in the winter?

You have two 7 month olds in car seats in the back seat and neither one babbles or fusses on the drive to work or after he parks and he gets out? His wife, who I assume put them both in the car, didnt call during the day to ask how it went when he dropped them off at daycare? Because I assume this was not his routine. And wouldnt the daycare call the mother to ask if the twins werent coming in that day? Because I assume if you werent bringing them in you would call and let them know. There was no communication at breakfast she was putting the babies in the car and he was to take them to daycare because she couldnt that day? Thats assuming she put both babies and both diaper bags in the car by herself. It doesnt add up, not in the least.

Yeah, put something IMPORTANT in back, like your damn cell phone.
Look, I can't enforce it( and I wish I could) but the way to end this is to put said 'caregivers' in the same, locked, car-in the same blistering heat, surround it with armed police and let them ROAST like their kid did! Remind said cooking POS that 'this is what you did your kid'. Let'em scream till dead.
People like this are too evil or stupid to breed and live.
