One other classic in that genre (movies about prehistoric times that are abominably bad) is 1950’s “Prehistoric Women” with Laurette Luez.

My brother and I were sitting around one night just shooting the breeze, and after we saw this on the Internet:

...we wondered aloud...what if tigers had wings and could drop out of the sky and haul people away...
We immediately looked at each other and said simultaneously: "Naaah. Never happen. They would be hunted by men to extinction without mercy."

Not worried about it. Looks like a lone wolf.

Would that be the rabbit that invented the gun for that caveman?

There was supposedly an Eagle in New Zealand that could take some people.

I imagine the followers of Roger Caras, who popularized loving wolves back in the 1970s, are heartbroken over the slaughter of this “poor innocent creature!”

I dont have any idea how they can tell that the wolf lived to be 40,000 years old. Trees have rings. What do wolves have?

Fascinating! Another article on that site reports that ancient wolves split from dogs @27k years ago.

To be honest, I wish real journalism would have taken place and provided more context. The head about half the length of a full grown modern wolf does not help. If it would have said, this wolf would have stood eight taller with twice the weight, I would have been able to imagine the scale.
Right now, I don’t know what the larger head means.
