I guess our (TX) bathroom bill is DOA....looks like big $$ lib groups have successfully stopped it :(

Here’s a bit of updated info (latest I could find, is from March 2019)...
After helping defeat the “bathroom bill” in 2017, business groups are back to oppose “discriminatory and divisive measures”
...In the spring of 2015, 80 companies and business groups banded together to create Texas Competes, a coalition with something of a novel mission: It would make the “economic case for equality,” fighting discriminatory proposals and convincing the state’s business-friendly leaders that doing what they considered the right thing for LGBTQ Texans was also the smart play economically.
This year, the group’s membership has swelled above 1,400 organizations and counts among its ranks dozens of Fortune 500 companies, including Amazon, Google and Facebook.
The group and its allies are now flexing that muscle to combat legislative proposals the business leaders consider threats to their economic success due to the disparate impacts they would have on Texas’ LGBTQ communities.
The 2-3% sickos always get their agenda passed due to these commie leaning, large corporations/organizations.
Really depressing, for the 97% of us :(

No worries-
I enjoy learning and if I did not conduct the search I would not have known about General Gavin’s promotion to the two star general rank, and therefore, in being promoted, made him the youngest two star in WWII. I always thought that he was the youngest one star general in WWII. He carried an M1 Garand (long version) just the same as the grunts, and was first out of the lead plane whenever he jumped AND the general made four combat jumps in WWII. That right there is Valhalla worthy in this paratroopers eyes.
My former boss’s father in law (deceased) had also made four combat jumps in WWII. My former boss’s wife researched her father’s military life and became a surrogate mom for the airborne unit that her dad served with, and for that she earned the nickname Panther Mom. I would have to check to verify, but I think it’s the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment.
She began to amass so much information that she wrote a book, but being a neophyte author, failed to keep sufficient footnotes to satisfy herself and any publisher she approached. Undaunted she began anew, and through her research of her father’s military service and his time in the airborne unit(s) that he jumped with, she met General Gavin’s daughter (Barbara- I think) and they became good friends, due in part to the fact that both of their father’s had made four combat jumps in WWII, and this distinction put the men and their daughters in a very small and unique fraternity. So, the last I heard from my former boss about his wife was that she and General Gavin’s daughter were co-authoring a book about their fathers, one famous, and one not so famous.
My modest effort in searching Gen. Gavin’s background has been a serendipitous experience and it gave me the opportunity to reminisce about a connection to “Jumpin Jim” Gavin, that I had almost forgotten about, so thank you for participating in the find. AIRBORBNE!
It boggles the mind, doesn't it?
It seems like the entire western civilized world has gone insane - all together and in just a relatively few years.
It's a suicide rush to turn our backs on thousands of years of advances in civilization, knowledge, tradition and common sense rules of behavior so we can be "equal" to stone age bushmen and muslims from the year 600.
We are living in an age where insanity is prized and defended while sane people are ridiculed.
I am saddened to think this is the kind of world our children, their children and their children will probably have to live in.
We need a George Strait gif now.

Prior to departure at the White House, a co-pooler spied POTUS entering his vehicle wearing a white shirt and a red cap.
Your pooler has placed a request in with wranglers seeking info on the POTUS’ golf partners this morning.
Pool is now holding at Lucia’s Italian Restaurant.
