Right she’s in a dragon at a great height I assume she’s up there to keep an eye on things and she doesn’t see an entire fleet approaching?
Obviously she would have flown out of sight and come around from the side and back and burn the ships before they could possibly aim those huge crossbows which even seemed to be fixed in position.
Instead she leaves the scene completely and lets them destroy her ships.
I guess the idea was that she didn’t use the dragon at king’s landing because they were pointing that big crossbow at her and the dragon but come on the thing can fly really fast they can’t possibly keep up and she could have killed Cersei 1st of all right on the parapet to end the whole thing. Likewise Cersei should have just killed them all standing there in front of her why the heck didn’t she?
I’m seeing only one positive here which is that we are getting to know the ending which the author told to HBO.
After this although I doubt he will ever finish his books, if he does finish them certainly he will change the ending because he doesn’t write from a fixed outline he writes as he goes along and where the story takes him.
By the way let me go on record as telling you that tyrion will end up as the king. 1st of all tyrion is the author’s idealized vision of himself. Secondly, I think he foreshadowed the ending in the very 1st book when he said that tyrion cast a shadow just as tall as any king.
The evil Queen will not survive because it was already foretold that she will be killed by her younger brother.
This is a cheap quick end to the series and that’s all there is to it. 1st of all why is the final season a tiny season of just a few episodes? Next, despite all the claims of spending a huge fortune, all of the real fighting is taking place in the form of people standing in front of a big map and moving chips around on it and discussing what they are going to do.
The show has become a talkathon.
Tyrion has been completely neutered.
Having everyone on the good side of the ledger meet up and completely forgive each other and have almost no friction among them is pathetic. It’s just become a big Soap opera.
They are so being at writing these characters dialog or actions it’s just as well when they have an episode with almost no talking. Having tyrion hide in the basement being lectured about the fact that he can’t do anything was tragically pathetic. And when all hell broke out down there he continued to do nothing.
Maybe Deadpool will show up and liven it up a bit.
Anyone thinking the second dragon might not have been killed? Only Cersi mentioned it, John and Dani were mum and the dragon or dragons were not in the final scene.
Yes they had to wrap things up.. but its a TV show, you can do something called time shifting... you don’t have to have every bit of mankind being driven back, ever more desperate on film... Loss at winterfell, survivors fall back.. mankind prepars anew further south, falls back, etc etc, until finally you are truly at the brink of loss....
Lets face it, Night King was defeated in his first real battle with man, and not by any real special way.. a simple human being, who albeit a trained assassin, managed, while you are surrounded by your best men, somehow got close enough to stab you... No distractions, no supernatural, no nothing... she got close enough to stab you.. a simple human.. Its LAZY... and it completely cheapens the 8 years of building up this guy and his army as the bringer of doom.
If all it took was being sneaky enough, and a piece of obsidian, the entire threat looks like a joke... which is what this story line basically was turned into.
Night King was, it turns out, nothing more than a cheap plot device, to get the human groups united against Cersi, and to put their army’s at equal strength. All the 8 years of “the end of the world” was little more than this.... A cheap plot device.
I thought maybe Jamie was going to save her.
Exactly! Have the dragon fly in at night. The dragon can see fairly well and torch the Red Keep, while the soldiers manning the scorpions can’t see the dragon until it’s too late.
Jaime hates Cersei.
That should be Ghost! LOL!
John on the throne removes the problem of the North, he’s king of the all the Seven Kingdoms.
Hates her so much, he had and buried 3 children with her, and impregnated her with a 4th....
To call those two’s dynamic dysfunctional is an understatement of massive proportions.
IF she dies, so does his child... after burying 3 children already, 2 fully died, purely to pay the price for their parents misdeeds, and the 3rd was a complete sociopath.... will he defend her with his life, regardless of how much he hates or loves her?
What will happen between Cersi and Jamie is anyones guess...
She is carrying his child again, and they have already buried 3 kids with each other, 2 of which purely died paying the price for their parents misdeeds, and the 3 was a complete sociopath.
So, lord knows what will happen with these 2.
Could be, her current toy finds out the child in her belly isn’t his, and slits her throat himself... or tries to and Jamie saves her... who knows...
Honestly, after the “long night” basically showed the Night King was basically a glorified plot device, and 8 years of hype was just garbage, could care less who lives or dies or winds up on the throne.
Should be, with Nymeria at his side.
My Dobe friends are always ‘shopping their dogs on the Iron Throne.
Cersei was not drinking wine when she met privately with Tyrion in season 7, but we have seen her drinking wine this season with Euron.
I am wondering if she told her brothers (Tyrion and Jaime) that she was pregnant in order to manipulate them? Maybe she never was actually pregnant.
doing business with the Golden Company might incur some obligations.
To me, Jorah and Theon were looking very pasty. In fact, my hubby commented that they had done a good job on make-up on the faces to make them appear dead.
They burned the "heroes", each lying singly on a pallet. I imagine that they burned the dead in a heap.
Also, this was Episode 4, only 2 more episodes left to wrap up the show, not going to waste it on watching burning bodies.
Sorry, I mean episode 4.
