A pair of right-wing provocateurs are being accused of attempting to recruit young Republican men to level false allegations of sexual assault against Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg.

The details of the operatives’ attempt emerged as one man suddenly surfaced with a vague and uncorroborated allegation that Buttigieg had assaulted him. The claim was retracted hours later on a Facebook page appearing to belong to the man.

A Republican source told The Daily Beast that lobbyist Jack Burkman and internet troll Jacob Wohl approached him last week to try to convince him to falsely accuse Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, of engaging him sexually while he was too drunk to consent.

The source who spoke to The Daily Beast said Burkman and Wohl made clear that their goal was to kneecap Buttigieg’s momentum in the 2020 presidential race. The man asked to remain anonymous out of a concern that the resulting publicity might imperil his employment, and because he said Wohl and Burkman have a reputation for vindictiveness.

Remember what I wrote in this column, "Trump Continues To Prepare The Battlefield": both Sessions and Rosenstein had to exit the DOJ before they could appear as witnesses at the trials of the SpyGate plotters.

Here is the relevant section.

In order to testify against the SpyGate plotters, both Sessions and Rosenstein had to exit the DOJ. They can't be government officeholders with official powers during the trials.

Both the Comey report and the FISA abuse report are coming soon from DOJ IG Horowitz.

As is the declassification of all the FISA-related documents, which Trump has vowed publicly & repeatedly that he will do.

RR's resignation will take effect on May 11, which is less than two weeks from today.

It's been claimed by several people on the record that Horowitz's FISAGate report is due "in May or June".

Then we recently had it said that a Comey report is coming first.

That Comey report is based on anonymous sources speaking to Joe DiGenova, so I'm not putting a whole lot of weight on that yet, though.

Just as Democrats are trying to squeeze water from the Mueller rock all next month stuff is gonna keep dropping that will seize the news cycle narrative away from them.

I wrote that now because I'm pretty sure one of the main talking points the SpyGate media defenders are going to try to launch is that Comey & other SpyGate leakers are WHISTLE BLOWERS, and hence, patriots just doin' their patriotic duty and stuff.

But the SpyGate leakers aren't heroic whistle blowers exposing gov't malfeasance. Far from it.

They are GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS USING & ABUSING THEIR FEDERAL OFFICES TO TARGET INNOCENT PRIVATE CITIZENS FOR SPYING & INVESTIGATION.

In other words, the worst sort of criminals.

May is gonna be a fantastic month. All the pieces on the battlefield are almost in place. RR exiting the DOJ was one of the LAST preparatory moves. /end

Never ate in the dining car as a young lad, but rode the rail to Chicago many times to see family, and to St Louis, on the 4 am “milk train” with all the other little league baseball teams, heading to Busch Stadium, to see the Cardinals play major league ball. Went to Busch Gardens too. And singing 100 Bottles of Beer on the Wall, at least half of the way to St. Louis, brings a memorable smile.
