If the Smollett lawyers object to a special prosecutor then I am for it. Lawyers have one thing in mind and that is to get their client off. If they think a special prosecutor would find something that would interfere with that end, they will oppose it. Let us have a special prosecutor.

The petition states that a judicial investigation can be costly, pointing to the $31 million or more spent on Robert Muellers investigation of allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 election and obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump.
Do they really expect an investigation into a corrupt DA is going to take two years and cost that much? It's not like they're gonna have 16 intelligence agencies, British intel, and the Clintons helping with the investigation!
