I got $450 with my S7 on trade-in for the $900 S9+

Did you get that deal with a carrier - i.e. ATT?

I could do it but you would have to pay me big bucks to do it!

I’ve had minimal success restoring products to their original waterproof glory when they required heat guns and regluing. But my vision is not what it used to be, either. YMMV.

Another comment: I had a Note 4 for a couple of years, which had a replaceable battery. Two things happened when it started to fail. The first, as expected, was crummy battery life and a poor relation between the indicated charge and the actual charge. The second was that the receiver didn’t work nearly as well as it originally did. Replacing the battery fixed the first problem, but not the second. It was as if the RF stage got out of alignment, by analogy to old radio technology with screw-slug adjustable inductors. Don’t know what happened there... but that’s what led to my replacing it with an S8.

I did the pre-order with T-Mobile.

Right now the trade-in is $250.

Any concerns about personal or bank data on your old phone before trade-in?

Is there a version of “Bleach Bit” for phones?

Not being content with bloated apps, Samsung (of built-in exploding battery infamy) embraces bloated hardware.

Most phones still don’t have all the features of the ‘sold’ S9+

Most people don't need or use or want all the features on the top-featured feature-overkill phones.

In fact, most people don't use all the features already available on the phones they own.

The 'feature' that most people look for and want, is not contained on their phones, and that is unlimited data/unlimited calls/unlimited text phones. And, the feature most used is internet connectivity, which all phones have. Camera features are more than adequate on most phones. Storage is also adequate, and when more storage is needed, there is always the free cloud storage offered by most phone makers and cell-service providers.

Most every phone has that capability.

Only if you pay for the data usage.

No one needs more than 10 megabytes.

Please. You obviously are an anti-Samsung spammer.

Just do the factory reset.

Then those people should stay off these threads.

I think your average GIF image takes up more memory than was on the Apollo mission.

I turned it into a fastball right against the concrete wall

I thought I was the only one. Back in the day, I would do that to a Motorola Star Tac flip phone and it refused to die. Now,I dare to throw a modern phone and I will shatter it. I have found that the "mid range" phones offer more than enough for the typical user BTW.

Yet I battled with swordy over the Note and Note 2 when they came out.

I bought their products for years, until they took a wrong turn in their design philosophy.

You seem to have some fantasy that other people don’t judge products by different features than you. This fallacious view on your part causes you to attribute criticisms based entirely on hardware feature to personal bias against brand names.

If Samsung went back to offering the features which attracted me again I would buy their products again.

LOL!

You mentioned nothing about design or features. Only a poorly worded spam about exploding batteries and bloat.

I am curious. What features have you found on another phone that took you away from Samsung?
