One week after a Yellow Vest organizer was “handicapped for life” by French police, protesters dedicated Saturday’s demonstrations to denouncing police violence - only to be beaten and gassed by said police.

I well remember... “ Ooops.”, by Rick Perry. (I nearly died of embarrassment for that awful moment.)
I remember his outrageous attempt at imposing Guardasil on 11 year old Texas girls.
And, his Transcontinental Coridor fiasco. Foiled and expeditiously dispatched, by all Red Texans, to the burn bin.
Fortunately, those three mistakes were his only big ones, compared to the number of betrayals in this current crop of R’s in DC.
Why not? It's not like there is no precedent. Legions of the dead have been voting in elections for Democrats for years and years!

I think that’s the connection you were pondering i.e. Prince is head of private security longterm for Trump. They’re good people. I think the other cabinet secretaries who don’t make a lot of news are running under the radar. DeVos has done a bunch of things that have gotten attention like changing Michelle / Michael’s lunch menus. Carson did a full audit on HHS. Good cabinet secretaries are not supposed to be making news on their own - their role is to quietly execute agenda of POTUS and make him look good ;)
