How nice to have Forest behind you. That keeps it quiet. And lots of views of nature.
Oh, I love baby raccoons! I used to feed a mama raccoon at the cabin. Actually I named her Ronald. After you know who. Then when she showed up with babies I changed it to Ronnie. The babies would play on our back deck railing like it was a jungle gym. Probably similar to your fence. I was never so honored then when she would leave the babies and go forage. Then I felt I was really trusted.

What kind of things do raccoons do in the house? I can imagine that they are a lot like cats with hands, dismantling things opening doors, rearranging stuff.
I’ll have to go through my cabin photos and see if I have some pictures of how the raccoons ate. Anyway they would eat in a perfect little pie wedge. So adorable. I guess that’s why I identify with them, they are very precise and geometric
I never thought of myself as a raccoon Aunt, more as a nanny. But I’ll take the aunt, that is better!
I felt so bad leaving Ronnie when we sold the cabin. I left a big bag of dog food and a whole bunch of pie tins and directions on how to feed her. I hope the people that bought the place did. But since they were probably there only part-time she may not have got enough food. I have no idea how those sweet little creatures survived the winter, with five feet or more of snowpack.
