Keeps Ruth Buzzy out of the public eye as well.
My point exactly. Japan is reaching a point that they will have to rely more upon themselves for defense since recent administrations have raised questions to our commitment to defense of allies in Asia - especially Japan and Taiwan.
Offering to strengthen Japan's strategic position in the region would be an excellent bargaining point in dealing with the Chinese on various issues.
Apparently RBG just canceled public appearance 1/29 same day as SOTU
Joe Manchin needs to channel his inner Republican and switch parties already. He’s at least RINO material, and decidedly better than Romney or Flake.
Veddy Intadasting!
I agree; they would be dangerously near-sighted if they did not account for a change in strategic alignments. They have taken the position of satrapy to the U.S. on defense since their crushing defeat in WWII. I cannot say that I would be completely comfortable with a nuclear Japan, but I am not anxious to learn to speak Chinese at my age either.
Brilliant idea, especially if the MSM would deign to televise it. I'm ready for a John Galt-style speech, expanding on the "video that would get Donald Trump elected".
I wonder if something else will be happening on 1/29...
Something relating to RBG, that will keep a bunch of Washingtonians busy for a few days. I mean, they’ve already published her pseudo-biography movie.
It's interesting that Ruth Bader-Boom had scheduled an event that conflicts with SOTU. I guess she wasn't planning on attending SOTU even if she had survived that long.
"You'll give a State of the Union address over my dead body!" -- RBG
Beijing has said it will not hesitate to use force if Taipei formally declares independence, or in the case of external intervention -- including by the United States, the island's most powerful unofficial ally
I fully expected China to resolve this issue before the end of the Clintooon Admin. They had paid Slick Willy and the Dems plenty of money to look the other way... I was glad to be wrong on that. I imagine that few Americans today are even aware that we have a strategic obligation to Taiwan - or would even care.
I asked that my post #945 be remmed. No sauce forthcoming, will repost IF proven true.
Marco Lopez who was a Napolitano appointee/crony was Chief of Staff for CBP CUSTOMS AND BORDER PATROL for 2 years and then left to work for/with Carlos Slim (Billionaire) and Carlos Salinas former President of Mexico and some say high level Cartel Player.
I had not seen that ^^^ info before. I have watched Napolitano’s dirty deeds for a long time but missed that, thanks for the link to the Frank Report.
The response should be that Nancy should stop taking vacations during the shutdown.
Hope they all stick around til and during the primaries.
Campaign funding for RATs will be a dry hole after awhile.

HE’S ‘NOT A FAN’... LOL
Thanks, TTM.
Just wish I could recall who it was that emphasized that “Hillary’s Server was retrieved in Benghazi”.
I had never heard such a thing reported, before, not in.those.words. “Hillary’s Server.”
Must not be accurate, because since then, it’s like it was never said. Surely it would have been a bombshell, if it was accurate.
Oooo, what a dark story.
Now,... about Adam Schiff for brains?
Is there anyone behaving bolder than AS, who was purportedly fingered as having a connection or two, in California, to someone inside the Ranier operators, in any way.
Maybe that has all fizzled out? So many investigations and no certainty about who is controlling the procedures and outcomes, because of the number of them.

"Questions have been raised about what Bill Barr told us for a story in 2017. Here is his full email from then responding to our request for comment. We're grateful he replied and hope this clarifies any confusion."
I was wondering why the dems didn’t ask Barr about this NYT reporter’s info, then realized that
THEY DON’T DARE BRING UP THE TOPIC OF URANIUM 1.
