Mexico has a choice. It can detain and control the invaders on it's side of the border and have the border function at some semblance of normalcy, or it can have Trump effectively shut down the borders either by decree or by enforcing procedure that slow down traffic to a crawl.

This is most certainly a case of Mexico fouling their own nest.

My first thought was this was a case of Pelosi and Schumer backdoor fouling the deal against President Trump.
