I hope he does, but when have dems so far worked with Trump on anything? Think about that for a little bit. They’re too focused on removing Trump to work with him. They’d spite their house leadership to remove Trump.

It’ll be 20 years before the B-21 is operational.

Plus they’ll probably only be funded for 15 airframes plus spares.

The B-1 should be safe for a long while.

Also, how is it we got 700 B 52s built in 10 years, but only have 21 B2’s built in 13 years?

Different mindset in the '50s and '60s. The Russians were a perceived big threat.

As for the B-2 buy, purely politics.

The B-1, like the Spitfire, is one of those exquisitely rare aircraft that has an exceptional aesthetic coupled with its lethality. It looks like it is flying even when idle on the runway, and seeing it in flight will leave a lifetime impression.

...and I get to hear and see them almost daily. With a South wind, they fly right over my house on takeoff. Otherwise with a North wind, the sound travels right to my jet damaged ears.

The sound of FREEEEEEEEDOM !!!

I thought that if they needed more bombers they could build a fixed wing B1b. Using the same fuselage and engine structure with cheaper fixed wings. The bomb load would still be 75,000Lbs just like the B1.
