Just imagine if POTUS ever asked for a nationwide participatory event (I don’t want to call it a demonstration) instead of one limited-seating MAGA rally at a time. Such events would exceed BY FAR anything ever seen in America in our lifetimes.

Well, I didn’t get to Valley of the Dolls in the 4th grade, but I did check out “The Old Man and the Sea in the 6th grade, and because I was raised to not show emotion, I was ill prepared to FEEL the emotion the novel brought.
I did not know if I should pity the man or the whale or myself for having read about it. During this same year, I found myself in a bit of trouble and as punishment had to memorize a classic poem and speak it in front of the class.
I chose The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe, which brought about a desire to read the rest of his works, including the telltale heart. To this day, I fear, without cause, being buried alive. I shall be cremated as a result.

A universal question...if I am able to, without the slightest increase in pulse or blood pressure, or any change in expression or breathing rhythm, ignore a ringing phone, a barking dog, a manipulative child, a rude, uncivil person as well as any post on here that holds no interest for me or seems trollish in nature, for the love of Pete, why can’t others as well?

This sounds interesting, also... you were able to teach professors how to think! 😊 Seriously, though, it denotes the discipline that research requires, and profs really should know such things. -- Sorry to get back to this late; I was in growing distress earlier with this cervical pain, and my son and I wanted to go out for a bit of movie fun. I saw the pain Dr this morning and he told me not to wear the cervical collar... so, in order to go out and have some fun with my son - naturally I wore my cervical collar! 😇
