Prayers for the family and for Justin. I hope they get this scourge under control. Ive seen good people totally destroyed by these drugs.
Prayers up for Mr. Adams and his family. I’ve lost a classmate an an ex-boyfriend to opiods.
Oh God no!
That’s awful, and heartbreaking.
I work with addicts. People have no idea how awful addiction is. Unless you’ve walked the walk, they should really think hard before saying idiotic things like, “It’s a personal choice!”
Maybe it used to be, but once addicted it is no longer a choice. Been there. Hell on earth.
Scott Adams and his loved ones are in my prayers...
Sad
Fentanyl is a huge problem for first responders. I’ve read cases where officers have overdosed just by getting the powder on their hands.
I remember when fentanyl made to my area. A small town south of me had over a dozen OD’s in a matter of hours. The police described it as “we were just following the dealer town and picking up bodies.”
So sad..
Please accept my condolences.
My brother passed away at age 47 from an accidental overdose of painkillers and other drugs he was on. It’s devastating.
O Christ Jesus
When all is darkness
And we feel our weakness and helplessness,
Give us the sense of Your Presence,
Your Love and Your Strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
In Your protecting love
And strengthening power,
So that nothing may frighten or worry us,
For, living close to You,
We shall see Your Hand,
Your Purpose, Your Will through all things.
St. Ignatius of Loyola
So sorry. The medical profession has a lot to answer for, the way they hand out opioid prescriptions like candy without any follow-up by addiction specialists. This is one area where there ought to be a law.

And Ruth Bader Ginsberg still lives!
