Works Awesome, I am in the sticks and there is no phone or cable, then find an IPTV service
I’m paying approx. 155 bucks a month - Xfinity - ( of which approx 45 bucks is for tertiary fees & taxes ) for cable tv 140+ channels that include a lot of hispanic & music channels i don’t need, plus, I have high speed internet - up to 250 Mbps -I generally get 180 Mbps download.
5 rooms self-wired for T.V. 2 Rooms hard wired internet with 5g wi-fi available for the guests.
I get about 40 channels ( not all always there ) over air with rabbit ears.(Can’t get CBS to save my soul) useful for picture in picture.
My contract is almost up, so I will first try to go cheaper on the contract renewal.
Then consider cutting the cord, but the trade-off always seems to be the cost of stand-alone internet - 70 bucks a month. That plus whatever services i get (sling\hulu etc), I’m still at a high cost place and I lose 4 rooms tv-wired.
Xfinity also offers what could be free mobile service for current subscribers, if I keep data to under 100mb a month, otherwise it’s 12 bucks a gig per month or 45 bucks a month unlimited.
My wife works out of the house so the internet speed is necessary, otherwise I’d dial it down to save a few bucks.
Bottom line, just doesn’t seem worth it to cut the cord...yet.
we cut off cable tv and got firetv,,, then signed up here: http://BarryzTv.com,,,,,,, $15 a month for thousands of channels,, ppv,, tv shows, movies Savings a $100 a month for excellent tv
