When the new dog (Pepper)arrived, Andy ran up to him, the two communicated and a truce was made. Then Andy proceeded to show Pepper around the house. He took him into each room, leading him around the room just prancing up a storm. The two lived in peace and harmony unless there happened to be food involved. It was then you would hear low growls and an occasional barking and showing of teeth.
When Andy died, Pepper mourned, even losing his appetite for a time.
Pit Bulls, Dobermans they can be just as gentle. The conditions in which they were raised reflect their personalities in their older years. Treated with love and kindness, they can be lovable themselves.
Ha!
If you’ve ever owned a lab,you know they will eat anything. I swear they are part billy goat.
Spot on:)
I think the note was cute, with a list of everything they scarfed down, out of concern for the roaming vacuum cleaners.
Here's one that is a favorite of mine - Pure Bliss:
Lol
I had a lab puppy beak out of our deck by chewing through the railing supports. He also ate out neighbors dress shoes when they were visiting leaving only the nails (was in the 60’s). He used to eat whole loaves of bread if it was left out on the counter. Our neighbor had a Bosch Pear tree and he would eat all he could find on the ground. He also ate green tomatoes in the garden, etc.
I will say the only thing he wouldn’t eat was the waterfowl we shot, that he like cleaned and cooked :)
They look guilty
Black labs. Since I have a black lab....yep. That sounds exactly like something he’d do. They are the greatest dogs in the world.
Mine eats trash. When I walk him, if I don’t quickly yank him away from some piece of trash as soon as he sees it, I know it will quickly disappear down his throat.
Nirvana.
If the dogs don’t come in the house at first call....I just yell *BACON* and they come running. :)
