And anyone not trying to sell a book can see the two buckles visible in your image.
One in the lower right of the image and the other in the middle of the strap.
Passenger 7 reported that everyone exited the airplane without difficulty. He recalled helping an older couple put on their life vests before they exited the airplane. He said that they were having difficulty opening the pouches that the vests were stored in so he opened the pouches for them, helped them put the vests on, and inflated one CO2 cartridge on each vest. After exiting the airplane, he swam to shore. He later found that he had inadvertently put on an infant life vest, which he said seemed small or tight although it worked fine. Passenger 7′s reported weight was 160 pounds. Passenger 8 reported that it took a few minutes for everyone to exit the airplane and that he did not notice anyone having a problem. His video showed that he obtained a life vest from the seat pocket in front of his seat. Passenger 8′s reported weight was 160 pounds. An autopsy of the fatally injured passenger was conducted by Pan Pacific Pathologists, LLC, of Wailuku, Hawaii, under the authority of the Maui Police Department. The findings listed in the autopsy report included acute cardiac arrhythmia and no significant traumatic injuries. The report noted that she was observed by another passenger to be fearful and hyperventilating shortly before losing consciousness. According to the autopsy report, her cause of death was acute cardiac arrhythmia due to hyperventilation. Review of 14 CFR 135.117, briefing of passengers before flight, revealed that section A states in part
Before each takeoff each pilot in command of an aircraft carrying passengers shall ensure that all passengers have been orally briefed on
Location and means for opening the passenger entry door and emergency exits
Location of survival equipment
If the flight involves extended overwater operation, ditching procedures and the use of required flotation equipment. If the pilot had provided a safety briefing, as required by Federal Aviation Administration regulations, to the passengers that included the ditching procedures and location and usage of floatation equipment, the passengers might have been able to find and use the correct size floatation device.
Seems to me that the reports from the passengers left out the dummy leaving the aircraft and being substituted for Fuddy, who was whisked away by a diver with a submersible which came from a submarine lurking in the shallows...and they floated her away on a flotation device...then the autopsy was conducted on the blow-up dummy, which was replaced by a wax model of Fuddy that was so life-like the mourners at the funeral never realized it wasn’t Fuddy in the coffin.
It just gets so ridiculous, I have to wonder why we bother, didn’t Confucius say ‘arguing with a fool is just two fools having an argument...?’
Mind you, the image manipulation can be seen as fairly convincing if you are very naïve, haven’t a good memory and forgot to wear your reading glasses.
It also helps if you can’t conceive of the possibility that the worst case scenario is the aircraft was sabotaged, and they were ALL meant to share the same fate. Perhaps the pilot needs to be commended for landing as he did, upright in the water, giving them all enough time to exit in the 20 minutes or so that it took the aircraft to go under.
The whole thing is dopey.
“Buoyancy does not mean what you think it means”
Really? Because I think it means a force experienced by a body in a medium denser than itself caused by displacing the medium. You have some alternate definition?
“Fuddy was an adult who knew how to swim, strongly or not, in salt water with a flotation device and extra padding.”
And yet she was still clearly in distress according to an eyewitness. Sorry, but I’ll believe the eyewitness who was there, over you, who weren’t there.
“Statistically the circumstances surrounding her death indicate a high probability of an unnatural demise.”
Says who? You’ve done a study dumping overweight old women who are not good swimmers in the ocean after a plane crash?
“Her heart related death is as suspicious as Andrew Breitbart’s and Antonin Scalia’s.”
I agree, it’s not really suspicious at all. Heart disease is the number one cause of death in the US, after all.
“That is your definition of “buoyancy” yet you indicated Fuddy would have a harder time staying afloat because of her fatty padding?”
I didn’t say anything about her being fat in terms of buoyancy. Her weight is relevant because it demonstrates she was not in shape, and would have been under more stress from physical exertion. Being overweight is also one of the primary contributing factors to heart disease.
“Of course Fuddy was in distress; she was dying after all.”
Not according to the conspiracy believers. According to them, she was merrily bobbing in the ocean whistling a happy tune until the ninja frogman assassins attacked her (without anyone else noticing despite someone making a video of it).
“The difference in our view points is that you believe she afterward had a panic attack and hyperventilated herself to death (an event so rare I do not believe the CDC even maintains statistics on it)...”
I have never said the word “panic attack”, you apparently have just made that up. Her cause of death was CARDIAC ARRHYTHMIA, which the CDC of course does keep statistics on, though they are probably lumped in generally with heart disease, the number one cause of death in the US. Not “so rare” after all.
“because of all this imagined “exertion” of trying to stay afloat”
Sorry, it’s not imagined. If you have ever had to tread water for any length of time you would know there is nothing imaginary about it.
“and the flotation device”
Oh sure, the defective flotation device not designed for an adult, let’s not forget that. Here’s another instance where a little practical knowledge comes in handy, since defective or mismatched flotation devices can actually be harmful rather than helpful in these situations.
“Do I really need to do a buoyancy study...”
No, you weren’t talking about buoyancy (though that seems to be your favorite word today). You said:
Statistically the circumstances surrounding her death indicate a high probability of an unnatural demise.
Nothing about buoyancy there. So where are the statistics about how many out of shape older women dropped in the oceans after plane crashes survived? You have those statistics, right? You didn’t just make that up did you?
“FRiend, that is crazy talk”
Gee, you’ve convinced me. We’ll just throw out all these different sized flotation devices that are manufactured and stop giving instructions for how to properly use them, and stop yearly inspections for defective devices, because random guy on the internet says it’s “crazy talk”!
“Throw me in the ocean with no flotation device and inside five minutes I’ll....”
What YOU might do is irrelevant, since Fuddy didn’t do that and we’re discussing what happened to her.
Wow.
Perhaps that's the way things "seem" in your head, but that's nothing like the way things are in reality. There are scores of pieces of evidence, most of which have never been disclosed here on FreeRepublic. They all speak to the way things were for the Fuddy event.
You pull out fuzzy pictures and talk about copyright to try to get the board owner to stifle this conversation as a previous one was, about a year ago. I wonder why it is that you and the Deep State share this interest to keep evidence concerning this topic from being aired and discussed.
Your aviation-unaware side-kick uses a Photoshopped picture to make false claims and in your way of reasoning, that somehow translates into "every piece of evidence is wrong" HA!
I've already shown that Fuddy had a fully-inflated adult life jacket on. There was no manual filling seen in the video. That was highly unlikely. It further shows Fuddy had no reason to be stressed, with both chambers inflated. If she gained experience in manual inflation, all the more unlikely it would be that she would be stressed by a partially-inflated life jacket. The NTSB story shows all the earmarks of having been concocted as an excuse for Fuddy to have been stressed when her brother completely disowns that as not the kind of person Loretta was.
Go ahead. Tell us how the evidence below doesn't depict a passenger strapping on, then sitting in a specially-designed electronics-filled life jacket cum antenna that could only have been on-site if the entire event was a hoaxed, government operation.
And tell us how and why one of the passengers testified to the police to say, "There was another male passenger [not the pilot] on the aircraft who already had a neck brace on."
And please tell us why this unassuming, orange and black metal diver gear was placed on the starboard wing. Which crash victim struggling to survive would have had interest and extra umph to place that heavy contraption there then not see fit to mention it so it might appear in any of the Maui Police, Maui County Fire Department, FAA, NTSB, or USCG crash reports?
The correct answer to these questions and evidence is that the Fuddy event was a Deep State hoax.
