An element of truth, except as I see it ... they liked to be in total control of the narrative, even if it included tearing down and demonizing someone like W, who wouldn’t fight back, and neither would his closest supporters. Remember how overjoyed they were when some idiot threw his shoes at W during a press conference in Iraq?
They also miss W because President Trump is not only a counter puncher, he hits really hard and exposes these anti-American people about their real characters / motives / fakery / lies and deceit. And they are stupid... they just don’t get it.

Scott Adams has been calling politics "an insult competition" in response to the current furor over candidate Trump's insult to Songbird McCain in 2015.
Dubya basically surrendered in the insult competition in the latter part of his administration, which is why he was savaged so badly.
I sure don’t miss him. I still rent his horrible supreme Court pick that he had to withdraw and his horrible optics during Katrina (though that issue was not his fault entirely).
