That is why the NHS was given top priority in the Autumn budget, with an extra £2.8billion on top of a planned £10bn-a-year increase by 2020-21.
Does that qualify as irony?
48,000 dead Brits might disagree with those economics ... if they could.
“Bring out the dead! Bring out the dead!!”
My gut feeling tells me this is just more fake news...
On a visit to Amsterdam at beginning of winter, I was shocked and appalled by the number of people with hacking coughs all around me. My Belgian doc friend explained the Netherlands health system is much worse so many cross into Belgium for medicine. It was an object lesson in socialized medicine that people don't bother to see the doctor, what's the point? and suffer through bronchitis and sinus infections.
Yes, precisely what I posted about.
And, to think, the putz liberals/leftist useless eaters want this, for THIS country.
Unreal.
Far too mny tks to Mellon policies.

Average gas/electric/water bill for 1 bedroom flat is about £130/month. Government pension is about £125/week. Probably a lot of old folks can barely get by on that, and run their heat much.
Doesn't mean much in the "we are doomed" meter unless we know what is the average annual mortality for the Month of March?

Ahh... but all of the actual UK workers pay more taxes to cover those pensioners high energy costs driven up by windmills, and yes even solar -

There was a fuss a while back that they paid it to UK retirees in Spain but I'm not sure if that is still the case.
Nor are they willing to listen to experiences of people living in these places. Only 35 years ago, we still believed ins was to cover worst case scenarios.
Sadly, so many of the best docs in USA have been retiring early since the 80’s. Obamacare was simply Hillarycare 1992 which was soundly rejected except the messing with how many specialists per year can study.
It all declined post Bakke decision and post War on Poverty Lyndon Johnson's Medicare. There is zero chance we won't end up with 100% socialized med once a D wins Presidency. I already have my fed. number as a provider. Luckily they gave it to IRS to run. Now every single important fact of your life is in one tidy little agency, the most freedom loving one/s
