Just kidding. Still love ya, Q.
he was the best behaved on the whole island.
it was good stuff. thanks for the contribution..
Again, not to worry, tang soo. And again, I apologize for my gossipy, snarky remark. You are a forgiving soul. Thank you.
Yes.
Gen 15;18 In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
A big piece of land.
Gen 17:4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
6 And I will make thee exceeding* fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee,
and to thy seed after thee.
8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession;
and I will be their God.
And did Abraham have two sons?
Yes, from his first wife, Sarah, named Isaac. Gen. 17:19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
And Ishmael from Hagar, Sarah's Egyptian maidservant. Gen. 16:15 So Hagar bore Abram a son; and Abram named his son, whom Hagar bore, Ishmael.
One who was the father of Israel and one who was sent away and founded "the twelve tribes?"
Two parts - Gen 32:28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
And Jacob's Father was Isaac. Esau, Isaac's other son, was the firstborn and traded his blessingfor a bowl of lentils.
This is where the division, and the conflict, comes in...
Gen 25:33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob.
34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.
So when Jacob tricked Isaac into giving him the 'firstborn blessing' (birthright) (Genesis 27), even with Esau despising his birthright,
it started the bad blood that lasts to this day.
Were the twelve tribes the future "arabs?"
No, the twelve tribes were from the line of Jacob.
"Arabs", as I understand it, come from the line of Esau.
Is this why, even now, and on this very thread, tempers can flare like they are now?
I can't speak for others, but my 'temper' flares at the ignorance of so many on the issue. Words mean things, ie abortion is murder, not an elective procedure.
Will there be no end to this madness? EVER???
Why, yes, it will. When Jesus returns.
:) Short and sweet this time.
If I go to bed, Q will post. Then by the time I wake up I will be 500 posts behind.
Haha. You mean he didn’t get laid?

No trouble at all.
I close the book on my religious participation.
Hahahahahahaha. And this cow wanted to be PRESIDENT. She can't even stand up by herself.
At least she didn't fall UP the stairs this time. Or was this "other" injury from ANOTHER tumble.
Those cankles aren't designed to hold up that mass of flesh. She is a weeble that wobbles and DOES fall down.
Bless her cotton pickin' Arkansas heart.
Gawd, I remember having this type of conversation since college in the 70's. I rolled my eyes then and I roll my eyes now. Only because there is so much written on this subject and the term Palestine. Ever talk to an person from Egypt about this term. Oh my gawd. I wanted to shoot myself. I remember talking to a muslim from England on this. I wanted to shoot him. Talk to a person from Israel, wow they have their own thoughts. Its amazing
Interestingly, the author, the anon who wrote his theory, that was the origination of this conversation cleary understood and referred to Israel as Palestine (in the historical sense). When he wrote it, it did not even occurr to me to question. Because thats how I was raised. and am thinking a whole lot of others. So we are wrong. Good. see learn something new every day.
Well said.
