93-96% of first marriages end in divorce within 10 years.
That is not being a naysayer, that is observing recorded facts.
And you must hate men to encourage them to take a risk where only 4-7% of them won’tbe divorced ad ten divrce-raped in court to lose at least half their stuff.
If the stats were reversed and women were the ones that lost at least half their money and houses to men in divorce would you be encoraging your fellow females to get married?
She is spreading lies.
you have no idea how domestic violence laws are applied in this country.
The poor guy would be cuffed and jailed PDQ. The knife would mean some extra charges. Hed be looking at years and years of hard time. So signs a plea bargain to some lesser charge.
Now at family court anytime their is the slightest disagreement ( usually over child visitation ) - He is looked upon as a convicted violent criminal by the judge.
1/3 of cop calls are for domestic violence. Every time cops are called for DV, they haul one person to jail.
Youd be surprised at how many of your buddies have DV records.
I had to bail out a buddy of mine 5 years ago for domestic violence ( crazy GF just said he was stalking her ). His saga was illuminating
I haven’t changed my tagline since i registered...but i’m considering changing it.
“Follow your heart and your principles; it’s even easier when you’re too old to be attractive to your cellmate.”
;) W
Because so many of them are really Nasty women.
I still have the audio recording of my x-fil scheming with my x to lure me out to a remote location where he would off me and bury the body.
Your stats are for shi*. The only stats that matter to me are these: I’ve been married to the same women for almost 30 years. This is the only marriage either of us have had. Also, my mom and dad were married for more than 42 years before she passed away. My brother is on his 28th year of marriage(no others). My sister is on her 26th year of marriage(no others). On my wife’s side, her mom and dad were married for 50 plus years before her father passed. her brother is on his 33rd year of marriage(no others), her older sister is on her 31st year of marriage(no others) and her other sister is on her 29th year of marriage. Again, no others. Your stats are wrong, and I don’t care how reliable you say they are.
In my ceremony, I made a promise, “To be unto thee, a faithful and loving husband, as long as we both shall live.”
You know, I never really think about it, but the promise stands.
The domestic violence laws are also used by the local elite as ways to punish those who buck the system.
I have seen it.
I knew my wife two weeks before I started hounding her to marry me. Thirty-nine years next month.Best decision I ever. Worst decision she ever made. Four beautiful kids.
You stand up and say “I do.”
Sux months later your spouse says “But you said ‘I do’.”
And you say “I didn’t say ‘I do’ to that.”
Make sure that GOD and THE WORD OF GOD is at the CENTER of you and your wife’s marriage and lives, and you greatly increase the longevity of that marriage.
You are too funny. Your anecdotal experiences are hardly the norm in modern america. Yet you think because you have experienced them, actual marriage stats collected by the states and then reviewed by the cdc must be wrong because they contradict 8 marriages you cite.
I can congratulate you all for being in 4-7% of first marriages lasting longer than 10 years.
And fyi, they are not “my” stats, be angry at the cdc and the states for collecting analyzing and reporting on the data.
Yikes
You're going to have to back those numbers up. I've always heard that half of marriages fail and that includes a greater than average number for second and later marriages, leaving less than 50% of first marriages ending in divorce at any time during their lifetimes.
[The West will fall. You can bet on it.]
I’m afraid you’re absolutely correct. For a whole host of reasons
Worst decision she ever made. Four beautiful kids.
I suspect she thinks she did just fine.
Too true. *sigh*
